its been 2 years since i started playing league for ezreal and unfortunately im addicted 😔 its actually a really fun game if you ignore the mean/weird people, so thanks ezreal!!

Mizi and Ivan are truly the unreliable narrator duo of all time

On one hand, we have Mizi claiming "I did not love her enough"

On the other hand, we have Ivan claiming "He did not love me in the slightest"

And both of them were so wrong

ivantill is such a complex relationship and it constantly gets oversimplified in the fandom as Ivan loves till, till hates ivan but thats just not true.

Till cared about ivan a lot. H says in the Scars comic that he used to draw him all the time, they spent most of their time together and he let ivan sign his shirt for round 2. the problem was he didnt know how to express that to ivan because ivan didnt know how to communicate his feelings to till.

Ivan was entranced by Till's defiance and humanity because he himself had never been able to feel strongly or express himself as honestly as till - but he knew from the start that he could never act like Mizi did, so he decided that he could never get Till to "love" him because love was meant for someone bright and beautiful, not sad and broken like Ivan viewed himself.

He thought he would never be worthy of Till's affections but he still craved his attention, so he followed him quietly trying to become a part of his life. However, he saw that people got attention when they acted out and that till would look at him if he annoyed him.

so he took that opportunity - teasing Till and provoking him until he turned to violence and eventually some sort of companionship.

But till never acknowledged the bond between them, because when they were younger ivan didnt believe he was someone who could be loved and didnt know how to act around till he gave till an impression that he didnt want to be friends (my evidence for this is the friendless loser scene, where till calls Ivan a moron after specifically stating that morons can still have friends - implying they are friend. Ivan then doesnt pick up on it and calls till a loser which till takes as him saying that theyre not friends).

Till just didnt understand what Ivan wanted, so he instead focused on the distant admiration for Mizi because he could hide - whilst he always felt like Ivan knew too much about him (which is why he hid how much he cared because he thought it made him silly or that ivan might tease him).

in reality, all Ivan wanted was for somebody to care - because everybody else had somebody who obviously loved them, whilst he was always the second choice, a parasite begging for love.

It isnt until long after Ivan's death that till finally understands that.

yeah idk thats just what i feel but i really love them and i feel like the fandom has a really big thing abt Ivan 'forcing' his love onto till, but the only time he did was as he died because he wanted to convey to till that he loved him - but also because he just wanted one selfish moment before he sacrificed everything.

ivan died smiling because he thought nobody cared.

he told sua she was being selfish for sacrificing herself, but he did it because he thought that till didnt care - mizi would only be traumatised because Mizi loved her and Till didnt love Ivan.

So ivan died thinking nobody would miss him.

he also realises before he dies that he went about their friendship in the wrong way, because in the 'thank you for being the victim of my shallow emotions' comic he thinks i should have been a little nicer because he thinks he's made till hate him.
