Suzan Siltaniemi

Artist Bio: I was born in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and now live in the San Francisco Bay Area. I was introduced to photography when a friend gave her a gift of a camera in the early 1980s. I am primarily self-taught, but have studied portraiture, photography, and Photoshop in a formal setting. My academic background is in mathematics and business. My early work was primarily black and white; my current work is primarily color. I now work fully in digital, and conver early film work to digital. I have participated in Open Studios since 2005 and have shown in local exhibits. My interests are wide-ranging, from portraiture, to nature, to travel photography. I enjoy the beauty in the ordinary and extraordinary.
