fandoms always underestimate the gut-wrenching emotional potential of platonic betrayal. ship what you want of course, but sometimes the less-traveled road of platonic betrayal hits so much harder and more uniquely than the romantic version. and there's no level of intense emotion, or former dependency replaced with a gaping emotional wound, that platonic betrayals cap out at! there is no threshold of intimacy turned bitter hurt that catapults it into romance; platonic betrayals can be devastating in their own right!

I really didn't care for Strong World. The only segment I enjoyed was Brook fighting the ants, and I found Nami's kidnapping kind of boring

I liked Film Z- mostly the Kuzan parts- and zephyr occupies a very small portion of my brain even though I didn't like him all that much. It felt like a really long episode rather than a movie however, and I felt like the ending was a bit abrupt.

My favorite is Baron Omatsuri. I really, really liked the animation and the way they incorporated cgi. It was a bit ugly and cheap but gave it a distinct look. I didn't really find it to be as scary as a lot of people made it out to be though. Overall it felt less like a One Piece movie and more like something they stuck the One Piece characters into.
