in their splendor are hard to remember, for pain

is a measure of evil. We seek to unravel the truth

as it tatters, (a thread is a thread is a thread)

it is all in your head, and the dead are inclined

to not whisper through the lightning. How far

we have walked and how strange are the these days

when the weak have decided to follow a king

who indulges decay and despises the song

from which nature is singing. But there

comes a time when the dead will arise to reveal

what is hidden in thunder, and the king

who divides, is divided and then fed

to the dreams he ignored for a penny
