Most of that album is not for me but this song is genuinely my favourite of hers.

Current obsession: does writing count? I've also gotten back to watching period dramas again, the 5th (?) Downton Abbey rewatch should fear me.

Currently reading: Sir Walter Scott's Ivanhoe 😃 (we did not decide to read it at the same time on purpose), and also Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen. Ivanhoe really annoyed me so I had to pause and read NA because I've been wanting to for a while, and it's delightful, Jane Austen has done it again. As for Ivanhoe, I have thoughts.

Currently working on: something for my blog

Currently wearing: a very thin white sweater (barely) and tight sporty pants, I'm at home.

Last search: "Anglo Saxon runes" or something very similar with a different wording (I have duckduckgo so idk).

Favourite flower: so this is serious to me. I love daisies (common, english), basically any breed of pink roses and lily of the valley. I've also been really into bluebells lately, might add them to favourites.

Current obsession : Can't think of any. I just finished my exams and I definitely did not have any time or mental capacity to obsess over anything for so long🥲which is actually kinda sad. Need to find me a new obsession soon.

Some neat things in vedic astrology (nakshatras):

Snake yonis (Rohini and Mrigashira) are the only yoni type that do not have a mammal representing them. Both are in Taurus.

Mleccha (outcast) nakshatras (Bharani, Ashlesha, Vishakha, Shravana) are the only caste to form a pattern on the wheel, each of them opposes one and squares two others. They are also the only caste to be grouped together under the same sage (one of the Saptarishis, the great sages)_ sage Vashista, the knowledgable/wise one.

Each one of those nakshatras coincide (or nearly do) with ancient Celtic pagan celebrations: Beltane (mayday) is when Sun is in Bharani; Lughnasadh (end of Summer) is when Sun is in Ashlesha; Samhain (from Autumn into the even colder months, Halloween) is when Sun is in Swati nakshatra, closely missing Vishakha and Imbolc (beginning of Spring as the snow melts) is when Sun is in Shravana.

Cow yonis (Uttara Phalguni and Uttara Bhadrapada) and dog yonis (Ardra and Mula) are the only two yoni types to be also opposite each other on the wheel. They also each coincide with Celtic pagan holidays: the equinoxes and the solstices.

Spring equinox _ Uttara Bhadrapada, Summer Solstice_ Ardra, Autumn equinox_ Uttara Phalguni, Winter equinox and Yule (also Christmas)_ Mula.

To help you visualize the last two points, here are the Mleccha nakshatras in green and the cow/dog yonis in blue on the nakshatra wheel.

The only yoni types to have both nakshatras in the same sign are Snake (Rohini and Mrigashira), Rat (Magha and Purva Phalguni) and Deer/Rabbit (Anuradha and Jyeshta) yonis, in Taurus, Leo and Scorpio respectively. They too form a pattern on the wheel.

According to nakshatra yoni matching, and also if we also take into account the traditional associations, the Moon is the "odd one out" among the nine planets. Rahu and Ketu are counterparts, so are Sun and Saturn. Mars and Jupiter are another pair, and Venus's counterpart, interestingly, is Mercury, not Mars, despite popular associations. Both of the planets in each pair exalt in the sign of other's detriment, which is also opposite the sign of its own detriment. They all also have at least one couple in yoni matching based on planetary rulerships (Venus and Mercury have only Elephant yonis_ Bharani and Revati, all others have two each).

Despite the fact that, in a way, the Moon is the counterpart of the Sun (just like Mars and Venus), ultimately, it is the one that can get along and "merge" with any other planet, but the connection won't always be special. Traditionally, all nakshatras are the wives of the Moon, with the first lunar nakshatra Rohini co sidered to be his favourite. Moon is also the "bisexual", or, the "polyamorous" planet. It feels comfortable in groups and usually prefers them over one-on-one connections. It is ironic and telling that the planet that represents comfort, normalcy and everything easily palatable is the "extra" one, but also absolutely necessary (just like the rest). In a way, it calls to mind the saying "a friend to all is a friends to none". When something or someone is deeply absorbed into everyone/everything, then it simultaneously is not connected to anything in particular.

A lot of yoni types have a planet (or two) that unites its two nakshatras (they both have the same planet that in some way can be associated with them). Elephant yonis have Venus, Snake yonis have Moon and Venus, Cat yonis have Mercury and Moon, Rat yonis have the Sun, Buffalo yonis have Rahu, Tiger yonis have Mars and Venus, Deer/Rabbit yonis have Mars, Lion yonis have Saturn (you can refer to my post about nakshatra-planet associations).
