I'm not into Castlevania but I've been exposed to quite a bit of it cause one of my other friends is into it if that's anything? And I don't mind hearing more!
Okay okay okay okay, so like, I might be a little obsessed with it. I really really like the games, and the anime. Although I have yet to finish the first one or honestly even start the second one, but still itās really cool.
Maybe itās my inner child coming through, my old obsessions with things like vampires, that drew me in, but Iām like, hooked and probably drowned from how invested I am.
But itās funny to think how such a simple premise can be so entertaining. Playing as the vampire slaying hunters of the Belmont clan, fighting against the forces of evil and defeating Dracula in a final brawl. And the artstyle is just so, perfect.
Course, theyāre older games, but still! I really like all the games in all honesty, and it is difficult to choose a favorite. But itād probably be Aria Of Sorrow. But Symphony Of The Night is a close second. I actually own that game, and Rondo Of Blood but I havenāt played that one yet. Soon though, once I finally find that damn ring to get to the upside down castle in Symphony.
Alucard is cool, like really cool. Again, itās a simple premise of him just being the son of Dracula but they do it so damn well. And heās a pretty complex character too. Heās who you play as in Symphony btw. And I know itās stupid but itās actually kinda cute at the same time that he uses his dadās name but backwards to show he is against him. Heās honestly such a silly little guy and is just like me fr fr.
Soma Cruz is also just like me fr. I really REALLY like his character so goddamn much. Just peak writing for real. And his character is so in-depth too, or maybe Iām just reading into it too much. Either way though! I love how he is written and his plot twist was like, well, you could see it coming from four miles away but itās more of a āoh cool.ā Kind of thing rather than a disappointment that they actually did go that way with his character. Kid learned he was actually Dracula and said ānah fam, Iāll pass.ā
Realizing that in a game about killing Dracula I said my favorite characters were Dracula-but-not-really and mini-Dracula. Anyway
Richter is cool too, heās a Belmont gang see I donāt only have non-Belmonts as favorites. I also find it funny how Richter goes from ābaby boyā to ācunt eraā in the timespan of Rondo to Symphony.
I feel like Sypha is such an underrated character, and she deserves more love fr. Honestly, her design in the anime is just peak though, legit the best looking character in the anime. Her game counterpart is, fine I guess? She doesnāt really get much in all honesty-
But aanyway, Castlevania is built on a simple premise, as stated before. Dracula is revived ever 100 years, and every time there is a Belmont there to put him back into the ground. ALSO CAN I MENTION THAT DRACULA GETS ABSOLUTELY DISRESPECTED BY JULIUS? Julius Motherfucking Belmont, off-screens the prince of darkness, and is introduced in Somaās game after he lowkey forgets the fact he disrespected Dracula so goddamn much bro got reincarnated rather than revived. AND HE FORGETS!
I really want Aria Of Sorrow, like I really really want it, but itās not on PlayStation so I am genuinely so fucking sad about that.
Uhmmm yeah I like Castlevania, just a bit⦠uhmā¦
