Iâve moved to a bigger canvas from my map. I have also readjusted the scaling and I have drawn an outline for the human realm. When Iâm drawing this map i will be marking down territories. Important areas, and biomes as describing the book and or personal head cannons. Look forward to future updates about this map.
In one of Shen Yuanâs earliest memories, he is lying in his motherâs lap.Â
His motherâs lap is the site of many of his best memories of early childhood. Often, when they travelled, it was only the two of themâno companions, no roof over their heads, no beds to lie in. Just him and her, together, keeping each other warm. Her on a log by a fire, offering him a soft, safe place to sleep.Â
On this occasion, though, they had stopped to see some of his motherâs friends, which meant that the air was warm and fragrant and there was soft, bright cloth everywhere, and even so, his mother still kept him close. She and her friends had been talking for some time, long enough that his energy waned after a day on the road, and heâd slumped over some time before and was drifting, hazy, in a place between dreams. Her hand petted his hair, which lured him deeper into the warm darkness of sleep.Â
ââoing to settle down,â one of motherâs many friends was saying, her deep, rough voice pitched in annoyance. âYour debts are paid, your father is dead, and youâre a gorgeous young woman. Why donât you find A-Yuan a father, and yourself a comfortable home?âÂ

âChunchun is right, Wu-jie. A woman shouldnât travel so much. How is Yuanâer ever going to make friends, moving all the time?â another of motherâs friends asks, her voice high and forcefully lilting.Â
There is a shifting of fabrics. Shen Yuan is too tired to open his eyes and see what the women are communicating without words.Â
The woman with the deep voice sighs. âYou canât run from ghosts forever.âÂ
âNot ghosts,â mother says. âI saw one on the road three days ago.âÂ
Shen Yuan drifts off before he can hear more, his motherâs hand passing through his hair as he curls up against her legs and begins to snore. The last thing he hears before sleep fully claims him is a distant, metallic ding.

Continuation of the Beast Peak Lord SY AU with SJ.

They both would have gotten to Cang Qiong a little later than everyone else. However, with SY there with SJ, SJ is less bitter with someone with him that is also a little bit behind on their cultivation. With SY there with SJ he never had to learn under Wu Yanzi so his cultivation core is only underdeveloped rather than shattered and pieced back together haphazardly.
When SJ first found out that SY got into the Beast Peak instead of Qing Jing he was absolutely upset. He went on long silent stint, ignoring SY until he couldn't take it anymore. Meaning that SJ broke first, despite being equally as stubborn as SY, and sought him out to talk.
Idk if I want to go into more detail about their disciple years. Maybe if I find the energy I will :). But when SJ first became Head Disciple and understood that would mean he would be the next peak lord he was hesitant to accept as he didn't want to leave SY behind. Thankfully SY, or course, being the top performer of his peak also became Head Disciple. I like to think they have this sappy promise when they first joined the sect (or even before when they met at the Qiu mansion whispering late into the night about far off plans of escaping and becoming more than what they are now) that they promised each other that they would get married when they became Peak Lords. But or course, it's only so that they could guarantee that they would both raise above their stations forced upon them at childhood. Yes, definitely not because they both started to realize that maybe they were the only two people on the face of the Earth that knew so much about each other without the fear of judgement. Or that they are so comfortable around each other than any other person. And to add some sparkle I think it would be hilarious if they did a small no-nonsense wedding that was just them and the officiator. And none of the other peak lords know about their marriage status and it somehow become unveiled at the most inconvenient time.
I haven't thought about how YQQ would fit into this but I'll figure it out...maybe. And I still want SY to be a transmigrator. Maybe his early arc could be that he's starting to learn that SJ had a more complicated past/ maybe this was like the rough draft of what SJ could have been. And SY is PISSED that readers were left without vital context to SJ motivations and even more so that SJ was delt the worst hand out of all the character. I also think it'll add a little flare with the system there or if like SY started out with the system and then gained enough points throughout his life to get rid of it idk. I do know for sure that when SY meets with SQH and finds out he's the author there is going to be less words spoken and more action taken lmao.
Sorry for the rambling. Again I'm a shitty writer and just had this AU stuck in my head that I needed to get out so all I got is drawing dumb doodles of this. I'll link the first part of this AU up at the top of this post incase y'all want to see the humble beginnings of this AU.
You know when it comes to conversations about race thereâs certain things you think about or need to come to terms with as a white person that are things you should probably just talk through with other white people.
Like at a certain point you need to realize that people of color already have a lot on their minds vis a vis race related oppression and you donât really need to upset them with your personal issues.
Iâve seen other white people do this on social media but also like friends who write poems that they intend to publish and show off to some of our non white friends for feedback and itâs like dude, youâre just upsetting them. This isnât an outside thought. Iâll talk through these things with you. I think we should talk through these things together, we have our own things to think through, but this isnât their problem, alright?

My take on the Demon Realm in SVSSS + my additional new game plus locations and lore
The Borderlands
Where the barrier between the human realm and the demon realm is weakest. This is where the Endless Abyss claws at the world, eager to escape and infect everything. One wrong move and youâre in the last place you want to be. Demons use this weakened barrier to sneak through. The Borderlands are a hot spot for criminals of all sorts and is a barren wasteland.
Considering that demons work on a bartering system, humans and demons live in relative peace here and itâs largely considered a neutral ground where trade can occur. Essentially a big, illegal, and dangerous marketplace.
The Northern Territories
The biggest of the locations. Spanning thousands of miles, most of which uninhabited due to its hostile, below freezing climate. The denizens here are almost exclusively ice and snow demons. There are, however, smaller clans of hybrid demons that cannot survive in the Southern Kingdom. These clans consist of bear, fox, and seal hybrids and are small in number.
Also home to large forests that are much more temperate.
The Mobei clan is the rulers of the Northern Territories and they rule with an iron fist. Tradition in the Northern Territories consists of violence. Only the strongest survive in the wastes.
Exports consist of fish, timber, and the parts of animals and beasts that canât survive in warmer climates. When properly butchered and broken down, these creatures are useful for a variety of reasons. They also export metals that can be found in frozen over caves, though given that there are few skilled craftsman in the demon realm, itâs not as in high demand.
They have the largest navy in the demon realm.
The Southern Kingdom
Hot, humid, and almost impossible to travel through without encountering a variety of poisonous and carnivorous plants and beasts. Largely comprised of dense jungle but closer to the Borderlands it becomes a brutal and unforgiving desert. The Southern Kingdom is home to mostly beastly demons and half-beast hybrids.
When Tianlang-jun was sealed away, it left a HUGE power vacuum thatâs still being fought over. Currently, the ruling power is the snake clan that Tianlang-junâs sister had married into before she died as they have the most legitimate connection, even if itâs tenuous at best. But coups and power grabs are constant, the nation is facing several civil wars in different fronts.
They export a vast variety of fruits and vegetables as well as specialty poisons and elixirs. Youâre most likely to find cursed objects and tools here, aside from the Borderlands.
The Red Plains
A vast plain of blood red grass stretching from the Borderlands to the coast. Could be most closely related to a grassland or savanna. Here, you are the hunted, not the hunter.
While there is a monarch clan, the Haohong, they donât really rule, itâs an every man for himself sort of situation. Itâs made up of numerous small clans. Here most homes are underground as itâs safer than staying on the surface with beasts built to ambush. However there are a few well-built and well-guarded settlements.
Trade routes are most prominent here, connecting every nation. Their largest export is grain, followed closely by alcohol and hunted goods. They also produce textiles and livestock. The demons here are built for hunting and ambush. Watch your back.
The Flooded Isles
The largest population of water demons. While there are many structures and homes on land, most activity occurs under water or on voyaging crafts. Sailors by nature, stirring up storms and trouble where they go, just as fickle as the oceans they roam.
Currently the ruling clan is the Xutao.
Their exports consist of items that have made their way to the demon realm through the water, hunted beats and their parts, as well as humans themselves. The oceans are another weak point in the barrier between worlds and it isnât uncommon for sailors to get swept away to another realm.
The Endless Mists
A mountain range of plateaus and cliffs. Here the Endless Abyss leaks through in the fog that shrouds the mountains, if youâre not from here then you arenât making it out without a guide. Creatures make their way through and travelers are easy to lose and quick to fall prey to madness. The demons that live here are eclectic consisting of spirits, ice, water, and earth demons. There is less of a focus on pure bloodlines here.
The ruling clan is also unconventional. Originally ruled by a clan of earth demons with blood ties to a Heavenly Demon, the previous Gaoshan-jun was killed by the current Gaoshan-jun, Xuexuan. After killing her, Xuexuan married her son, Shiwei, and enamored with her, he happily gave her the clan title despite having a mixed heritage.
Their exports are vast given the lack of outside threats due to their protected sanctuary. They produced many expensive and sought after items such as pearls and dragon silk.
Clan Names and their Meanings
Mobei - North of the Desert
Haohong - Vast, Red
Xutao - Fast/Sudden, Large Wave
Gaoshan - Tall Mountain
The snake clan in the Southern Kingdom does not have an official clan name and the current leader is called Shining Scales. A very common rank name as demons are often very literal and obvious in their naming conventions.
