Author’s Notes:

My passion project for the past few months. Keep in mind this is my first, fully fledged Danganronpa-style/murder mystery fic, so it’s definitely not going to be the best. Small warning too, but this is also written in a script/screenplay format to better mimic the games.

No knowledge about Danganronpa is needed either. However, I highly recommend watching the Life Series beforehand, as there will be spoilers aplenty for all 6 seasons (this was started before Past Life).

[A scream. Something wooden clattering to the floor.

Sparrow. I'm one of the test subjects for the Community Life experiment... at least, I was. I'm not sure if I'm still allowed to participate, since I left.

How are you down here!? Shouldn't you be in—in your cell, or something?

Well, see, that's just the problem. I don't exactly remember where it... um. Is. You know, I've just spent so much time elsewhere, and I think I only spent about two weeks in it back in September—

How—?

—and I was hoping you'd be able to bring me back! Or, well, the first person I could find. See, I've just finished making myself a brand new body, 'cause the last one was having some issues, and now I've got to get back to my cell to wait for the next simulation.

[A button clicks. A loud klaxon sounds out.]

Oh. Well, I guess calling security works too. Lovely chatting with you, Malena — and again, so sorry for startling you.

[Several footsteps rushing down the hall.]

You—!

No need to point your weapons at me! Void, the hospitality of this place. I'll come willingly, sheesh! I'm just lost.

Small Mutual Life update, why is writing this investigation so hard. I’m already on the third draft of it and can still feel myself pulling my hair out over it.

I’m hoping to get this out soon, maybe a month if I’m lucky. But ughhhhhhhhh, I’m having such a classic writer’s dilemma right now. Someone send help ;-;
