Here is some progress on a cosplay I’m Making for my sister right now! The fairy tale version of kotori from love live! It’s only pinned very loosely to the dress form to get an idea of the length of the layers! I’m happy with how it’s going so far! We really lucked out fabric wise I think! As she’s meant to be thumbelina, we wanted to use slightly rougher textures for the fabric, which has also helped give a lot of body to the gathers, which should make the skirt super poofy! :D
Cooro from +anima. I adore this series! It’s so adorable ;a; I first made this cosplay for WCS prelims back in 2013 (for 2014 WCS). It went pretty badly unfortunately, but this is one of the cosplays i’ve always been pretty proud of. I made the boots myself :D I hope to revisit this cosplay one day to fix up the bits that were bad and to do a photo shoot in a really nice location! One day!

I'm really proud of this Cosplay, and i'll be doing another version of Rhys at Kitacon next year with a big group hopefully. I just need to get a new wig at some point because mine was too bright ;a;
This is the facebook page I made to keep cosplay and real life separate on facebook :) It's still under construction, but i'm slowly uploading all my stuff there and there'll be a lot of progress shots and event planning on there in the future, for anyone who is interested!
Oh man so I forgot about updating my tumblr for a while >> A few events have happened since I last posted, so i'll do a spam of photos pretty soon! But first, here is the only photo I liked of meruru ;a; There were some issues with the belt and it kept riding up, so almost all of my photos show this ;a; It'll be fixed for Japan expo in a few weeks time though, so there will be more photos then, because I am so proud of how this turned out ;a; This was a really nice group to do. Just need to restyle the wig and make a few edits before Japan expo and then we're set!
This evening was spent slowly planning out the bodice using the first layer of lining. Because I need to bone the bodice i'm using 2 layers of lining to make it more comfortable... This is the first time i've actually bothered to use math in a costume, because of all the panels... At the end of the evening I managed to cut out the 4 front panels in white and start a boob cup. The cup needs to be adjusted as it's too big before I make the other one, and I need to fix a few things within the pattern.
I made a lucky find at the fabric store with some nice flowery material!
I then spent a few hours dotting green fabric paint over it with the end of a pin. I pinned myself so many times D:
This is the cosplay i'm currently working on, even though midlands expo is sooner. It's pretty complicated, the most complicated one i've made to date so I want to get it done asap! I started buying the fabric for her last week, she's cost me £51ish so far, and that's not including the fabric I already had on hand (this year I am attempting to recycle as much of my leftover fabric as possible...). I hope that she turns out alright!
