âHey, you got to do what you got to do when you are broke. Pedaling is much better than walking.â
âThat would be a good point, if you know, there wasnât a school bus.â
âYou mean you underestimated it. Of course I know why youâre here, I was simply playing coy, and you fell for it. Perhaps itâs your brain power thatâs being overestimated.â
âOh of course, weâll blame it on me.â he said and tipped his head to eye her properly. âIn fear of stroking your ego, I wonât tell you how beautiful you are right now.â
âI can honestly say that riding a dirtbike is a lot more fun than riding a bike Iâve got to pedal.â Scott beamed as he pulled his helmet off. His hair now resembling something of a tidal wave.Â
"Nobody should be riding a pedal bike anywhere, ever."
âNow, why would you be looking for me?â
âMonths of skype, texts.. and you wonder why Iâm looking for the most intriguing female in Beacon Hills? I overestimated your brain power, clearly.â
â SIMON ; we get it. Â Â Â Â Â Â nope, havenât seen her. â
â..well, at least you do. Tell her that the man of her dreams was looking for her.â
âIf thatâs your story, dude. You look exactly like Stiles, so, itâs not our fault that we canât get your name rightâAnd no, I havenât seen Lydia today.â
âKarina, seriously-- ugh, infuriating as ever. â
"No.. No, I'm Simon. SI-MON, say it with me now. Anyway, I'm looking for Lydia Martin, you seen her?"
flawless--lydia:
âNo plans as of yet, so Iâm completely free. Dare I ask how you obtained this new car?â she questioned, an eyebrow slightly raised as he pressed a kiss to the corner of her lips. âTake me on a little weekend getaway, and maybe then Iâll let you kiss me.â she teased, with a grin. Lydia rolled her eyes, not bothering to remove the wide smile she currently had, âA wasted journey? What a shame, to have wasted a mere five minutes here with me. Iâm sorry you seem to think itâs been a total waste.â
âYou more than likely donât want to know the answer to that.â he said and pulled back to raise his own brow. âOh, I have to work for it now? After you so rudely enticed me with red lace and left me..â he flicked his eyes down to her lips and then backup. âwanting more?â he questioned, he still wasnât quite over the frustration that whole thing had caused. âNever a total waste. Youâre not completely boring.â he added.
⊠Yeaaaah. Still not sure who that is.
âThen you probably weren't very confused.â
simon.
â to M A T C H a new car ??pretty sure stiles wouldnât have gotten a new car ; so who are we trying to impress here ?? â
âThat depends. Are you impressed?â
Beth made a squeaking noise. âNo, no, no, thatâs fine. I donât want to bug your father, or get him involved, this isnât a big deal, Iâm so sorry I intruded-â The words came faster and faster.  Beth couldnât chance talking to the sheriff, especially since sheâs technically a minor living alone trying to provide for herself.  If any adults connected to the system found outâ bad. She panicked.
Simon blinked but nodded. âAlright, alright. Youâre fine. Youâre Stilesâ friend right? One of âem at least? Heâs just across the hall.. would you feel more comfortable if he took you home rather than me?â
John looked down at the poorly hidden treat with a sheepish expression. Â âYou gonna rat me out to Stiles- because Iâll pay you for your silence.â He shook the box enticingly.Â
âI suppose I could be enticed into silence with chocolate icing.â he grinned and made grabby hands for the box.
âIâm not sure I know who Stiles is, soâŠâ
âSo.. this makes that little display awkward. Iâm simon.â
âNot good. Itâs great coffee if I do say so myself. Fresh ground beans in a french press.â She held the cup out to him. âAria. Iâm seriously going to have to figure out a way to tell you two apart.â
Simon took a long drink, it was just this side of too hot but so, so good. âYouâre not lying, are you?â he groaned and took another sip. âI usually wear glasses, contacts are a new thing Iâm trying other than that, I guess my hair is a little longer? Maybe?.â
âI donât know. I mean, we have a deal him and I. Iâm his coffee supplier. Wouldnât he get angry?â
âWell itâs either that or let good coffee get cold. Simon, by the way.â
âWatch someone interrupt us now that youâve said that,â Lydia chuckled, âMy mom can still come home and intervene, even if she âloves youâ.â She raised an eyebrow, as he nudged at her jaw, âKiss youâAnd what if I donât want to, hm?âÂ
âYou make a good point. What are your plans this weekend? I got a new car for the week and I could drive us up to your lake house like youâve been hinting at for - oh, I donât know - two weeks?â he teased and kissed the corner of her mouth. âYou donât? Well okay then.â he said and pulled back. âThis has been a wasted journey.â he said, not quite fighting off the smile that pulled at his lips.
