I think the worst part about living in such a big city is that all the coffee shops are tiny with basically no space to sit and hang out between classes.

No we’re not…it was just whenever Scotty got everyone to hang out. It’s not…it’s just something I’m having trouble wrapping my head around I guess. A part of me wants to ask what exactly happened, like details, to see if it will jog some memories, but another part of me wants to leave it as is since it was so long ago.

I wonder if like small time theaters perform it. Ooh! Or you could maybe get it to be a musical the school performs, then you can try out for the role you want.

Probably. I’d hate to do something that like, 3 people are going to come to see though. I know you can’t start at the top but I can start higher than that. Later, maybe. No way would they give that role to a freshman.

I’m starting to realize why I had such an easy time getting into all of my classes. Morning classes are literally the worst.

Ugh, no. I was forced to take an 8 a.m. because one of the classes I’m taking was full at all normal hours by the time I registered. It’s terrible.

I feel you. And it’s a good way to explain a huge ego, rockstar. Oh, please. It’s good for you, not feeling like everyone is fawning over you all the time.

…I’m sorry. I just…can’t believe you never brought it up. I mean it was, what, three years go? If I had remembered I…actually I don’t know what I would have done.

I mean, we never were...are....really alone much. And I stopped hanging out with Scotty’s group as much once I broke up with Chris. I don’t....I mean, that terrible of an idea to you?

Oh, I see. Well if I watch the movie I’ll keep that in mind, pretend Cathy isn’t as whiny as Anna is playing her.

Definitely. I wish the show was still on somewhere in the city, but it hasn’t been. It’s a shame, it’s such a good show.

Her story is just so heart breaking, and sad, I don’t know, you really have to love her. Anna Kendrick is in it? I like her, how was she terrible? Now I’m conflicted on whether or not to see the movie.

I mean, Anna Kendrick is fine. But the character can be made really whiny if you aren’t careful, and she tends to be whiny anyways so it kinda just makes you hate Cathy, when in reality she doesn’t need to be.

I love Les Mis! Eponine is such a great role, oh my gosh, I hope you get to play her at some point. I’ve never seen The Last Five Years, or really heard of it, what’s that about?

[simone-ellis]

Eponine is the best. Way better than whiny Cosette. Most soprano’s are just fucking annoying in general. It’s a smaller musical, but it’s technically one of the most vocally difficult. It’s about a couple who’s getting divorced but it’s told in two timelines, one going forwards and one going backwards, so they only appear together on stage once. It’s really interesting. There’s a film version but it’s with Anna Kendrick and she’s terrible.

Because who can forgot a pretty face like mine, plus quite a few people love my music. That’s probably what I’m known most for.

Well I don’t, and like I said I’m not proud of it. I’m never proud of any of my black outs, do you think I enjoy having chunks of time permanently gone from my mind. There’s nothing I can do about it now.

Then you should make the best of it, are you going to try out for any school productions? Ooh, what’s your dream role? I always find it fascinating hearing actors and actress talk about their dream role.

Probably. Freshman usually get passed over for bigger parts in productions just because they’re a freshman, but I’ll see what I can do. Probably Eponine in Les Mis. Or Cathy in The Last Five Years. That role is....fucking hard. To say the least.
