Issa enjoyed moving through the crowd with Noah, one of her hands laced through his, the other one of his hands on her back as they dodged people so they could get to the bar. Issa ordered her normal whiskey sour, before turning back to Noah once the waiter slid the drinks in front of them. “Cheers to that,” Issa said with a laugh, taking a big sip and wincing a little. “Strong,” she said with a shudder, leaning back against the bar and looping a finger from her free hand through one of Noah’s belt loops, tugging him a little closer to her.
They both definitely liked to party, it was how they first started hanging out, and in the past couple months that had changed, choosing to spend time in with each other rather than going out. As they stood there at the bar, listening to the music and working on their drinks, Issa was more and more glad that they decided to come out. It was a nice change from their normal routine, and it had been way too long since she had gone out dancing. “Every girl in this vicinity is checking you out right now,” Issa said with a raise of her eyebrow, sipping from her drink again. “I feel like I need to mark my territory,” she teased, still holding onto Noah’s belt loop.
NOAH ABRAMS:
Noah took a drink and raised an eyebrow at Issa when she mentioned hers was strong. “Losing your touch babe? Too strong for you?” He teased as she tugged him, causing him to inch closer to her. They stayed at the bar for a while as they drank and enjoyed each other company. He hadn’t even noticed the people around them until she said something. He looked around and saw that she was right, a lot of girls were looking their way but there were some guys too, looking at her.
“Jealous babe?” He quirked a brow and started leaning in closer, smirking as he did so. “You know I’m only yours.” He pressed his lips against hers, showing any onlookers that they were together and needed to find someone else to possibly sink their claws into. His lips lingers on hers for a while before he pulled away and took his drink as if nothing had happened. Noah glanced around and noticed that most of the people staring at them had definitely gone about their business. He downed his drink and grabbed Issa’s hand, “Let’s go dance!” He shouted over the music, finally having enough of just standing around.
I mean, half of the older generation shouldn’t’ve had kids, so I don’t know why they’re so mad at us for realizing that before we burden a child with us as parents.
Just imagine the world where our parents generation didn’t have as many kids as they did. I wonder how many of use would actually be here. The world is over populated, not having kids is just my way to help level that out.
If you guys plan anything let me know. I’m trying to see everyone as much as possible before graduation because after than there’s no telling when I’ll be in New York. That sounds like a good plan for you though. I’m sure it won’t be too hard to get a job in the city. Do you guys have a plan for after she graduates, or is that something you’ll figure out later?
Of course, we wouldn’t leave you out. Ha, you’re funny. Come on Astra, you know me, I don’t really think of the future much less plan it out. Figuring out what I was doing after graduation was hard enough. I’m sure Issa has a plan, but I’m more wait until we come to that bridge in life kind of guy.
I mean, we never were…are….really alone much. And I stopped hanging out with Scotty’s group as much once I broke up with Chris. I don’t….I mean, that terrible of an idea to you?
No we’re not...it was just whenever Scotty got everyone to hang out. It’s not...it’s just something I’m having trouble wrapping my head around I guess. A part of me wants to ask what exactly happened, like details, to see if it will jog some memories, but another part of me wants to leave it as is since it was so long ago.
No particular plans that I know of right now. I definitely want to try and get the group all together a couple more times before graduation. Nothing that seems ‘bang’ worthy though. What about you?
You know they’d all be down to get together anytime. I think James might be back for a weekend in the next couple months. He’s not sure when but when he’s in town we should all get together. Yeah I feel like I’ve lost my touch, all I plan on doing is getting through the school year, with minimal fights with my parents, and finding a job in the city so I can stick around until Issa graduates.
Issa took the bottle from Noah, flashing him a smile. “Is it too much for you to ask to start stashing chasers in here too? Jeez, No, who do you think I am?” Issa teased, shaking her head at him. Even still, she unscrewed the cap, taking a large swig from the bottle with a grimace. After a second, she handed it over to Noah, the pair passing it back and forth as the car made its way to the place Noah had decided on. Issa turned back to him at the sound of his voice, squeezing his hand in return. “Same. It’s a nice change. Plus, I get to show you off, which is always a perk,” she murmured, winking playfully.
The car pulled up to the curb, Issa and Noah climbing out, Issa taking care to make sure her skirt was pulled down. They laced hands, walking towards the club and slipping past the line - Noah always knew someone. “Bar first?” Issa called, raising her voice to be heard over the music, her hips moving slightly in time with the music, feeling her excitement about being out growing.
NOAH ABRAMS:
“If anyone is showing anyone off, it’s me showing you off.” Noah replied just as teasingly. His eyes scanned the line that they bypassed easily to get into the club. The music was loud, his hand unlaced from hers as he moved it to the small of her back. He leaned in a little bit to hear her over the music, smirking a bit that she was already starting to dance a tiny bit. He nodded then motioned to the bar. His hand stayed on her back, keeping her close as they walked along the outside of the dancing crowd toward the bar.
There was an open spot at the bar that he quickly took for them and a few moments later the bartender came up to them to get their drink order. Noah ordered a zombie and then looked at Issa, moving at of her way so she could give her own order. The bartender made the drinks quickly, Noah grabbed his and took a a quick sip. “Here’s to not being boring for a night.” He said with a laugh, giving cheers before taking a real drink. It had been far too long since they had properly gone out, there were a few times he was out with his friend but even then he had definitely toned it down. Tonight he was not going to do such a thing, he was going to have as much fun as he could with his girlfriend.
