hot take of the day

i do love the connemaras, the north swedish horses and the lusitanos. i love them a lot. they’re well modeled and their coats are nicely detailed, and they look wonderfully realistic whilst still fitting in with the graphical style of sso.

that said, i’m so incredibly tired of:

the purple undertones in some of the coats, the dark bay nsh in valedale being the worst offender. some gear and clothes clash terribly with some of the horses.

the “slow gallop” of all three horses looking stiffer than cardboard. there is almost no movement in the back or hindquarters.

the overall lack of bounciness in the gaits.

i don’t like complaining, especially when i have so little experience in animation and 3d modelling. still, the last few horses leave a lot to be desired in my humble opinion.
