i really like this overdrive pedal. some of you gear-heads might not even give this thing a chance because it's a Boss...but don't be like that bro.

i've been trying hard to think of a good way to describe how this stompbox is better than most of the ones i've tried, and i think i've finally thought of something...

ok, so think of your base tone as a strong, fully grown oak tree. this pedal's overdrive is basically a beautifully built tree house ON that oak tree, taking nothing away. both the tree and the dwelling on top are equally shown off.

on the flip side, a less desirable overdrive would cut the tree down and build a nice house in place of where it once stood. you may still have something nice, but it is at the expense of your already established tone.

i'm not quite sure what it is, sonically, that makes them different. my guess is the amount of compression and tone shaping abilities in each pedal.

if you're in search of some mystical green pedal, just stop that now, 'cause you're wasting your time. this pedal is dynamic, transparent, natural and smooth! :)
