the bastardization of the sims 4 cc tags here on simblr has gotten so bad that i'm using fucking google and pinterest now to find stuff or i'm crossing my fingers that the good stuff magically appears on my dash when i happen to be scrolling through. 97% of simblr uses cc, that's basically all of us.

it's more or less agreed upon that those tags (sims 4 cc, ts4 cc and so on) are predominantly for actual cc creators or cc finds blogs to use to make cc-hunting easier on tumblr. using those tags on gameplay/edits/cas posts is causing this to be a pain in the ass because the tags then get flooded with posts that don't really belong there.

please stop using cc tags when its absolutely not necessary. it won't help with engagement on your posts like personally it actually makes me want to like and reblog them less. as i said... almost all of us use cc. pls stop ty

Lovestruck Backsplash Recolours

I was so excited by this item when Lovestruck first came out but I've struggled to actually use it in my builds because the colour options are so limited. I wanted some better options for a penthouse build I'm working on and decided to bite the bullet and make some recolours.

I mostly wanted to add a few new monochromatic swatches, but as you can see I got a little carried away and ended up making a total of 38 swatches—18 each of the patterned and solid/patterned checker, as well as two more muted options for the original multicoloured swatch.

I wasn't originally intending on sharing it, but I also only originally intended on making something like 12 swatches, so I figured I might as well put it out in case anyone else has been bemoaning the limited swatches of the original.

Does anyone know why this roof is clipping? I haven't deleted the floor or anything that should make the room behave weirdly, and it only happens with the octagonal roof.

It also doesn't start clipping with every wall. I can build all the walls in the third picture without the roof clipping at all. At least I can predict what's happening when I delete the floor for a vaulted ceiling, but this is just regular rooms with stairs causing roof clipping now.

The energy in Sims Bluesky is electric right now but I am so singularly obsessed with Dragon Age at this moment that I have nothing to contribute over there, especially since I haven't had a chance to do much in TS4 since Lovestruck came out

TS4 NPC Makeovers—Partihaus

I’ve recently begun a new mostly-vanilla overhaul of premade sims since my old attempts used far too much CC that wreaked havoc once I decided to weed my 50+ GB of CC. I have default eyes and skin and some sliders installed and have let myself have basically unrestricted access to my CC eyebrows because the EA ones make me sad. I also have CC hair available but I only use it if nothing in the official content fits The Vibe (most of EA’s braids and locs do not fit The Vibe).

I generally try to respect the original look of the sim while trying to bring the original faces & bodies into more realistic proportions but I also am a weak man who loves a strong jaw and soft pecs.

Not to worry, it's just sims specific. Bioware has just stolen all my time (ofc, this means EA still has all my money so...) I'm sure that if I wasn't working on top of 2 Mass Effect playthroughs and 1 Dragon Age playthrough, I would have time for sims.
