Our Favorite Shopify Apps
All of the apps we built under Simple Apps were to target pain points we found in our own Shopify experience at Holstee, but besides those, we use a handful apps that make our lives infinitely easier. I wanted to give them all a big shout out for making Shopify so, so well.
Chimpified makes it super easy to feed all of our Shopify customers into our Mailchimp lists with loads of data on their purchases. That way, we can reach out to customers with specific buying behavior for campaigns we run on Mailchimp with incredibly targeted campaigns and autoresponders. Amazing.
SumAll provides us with digestable data reports to help us better understand how our products are faring. They integrate with our Shopify + Google Analytics to point us to our best selling products and websites with highest conversion rates. This way, we can better manage our marketing campaigns and product decisions.
Fliptabify makes it easy for us to leverage our Facebook presence to drive purchase behavior. It drops a simple Shop tab on our page and lets us showcase pictures and links to our products right there. It integrates nearly into the Facebook interface and looks totally natural, maximizing the utility of our social media outreach.
We love our customers, but sometimes, it's not totally easy to reach out to every one of them individually. Abandon App makes it simple to take all the customers that might add some items to their cart and leave the site before making a purchase. They automatically shoot these customers a note with a promotion, incentivizing them to come back and finish their order. It makes it a ton easier than doing this manually!
We used to read all sorts of SEO guides to figure out if our titles, images, internal links, META descriptions, speed, and a million other things are running smoothly. Plug in SEO takes a fast sweep of all of these and a handful of other factors to let us know when we're doing something that might need improvement with respect to search engine performance. It's awesome to have a diagnostic with great recommendations on how to fix things up when they're not up to speed.
