[WIP] Garnet - Love is the answer [Update]

Finally worked out her colour palette, for some reason I didn't realise Steven Universe was mainly flat colour and didn't have much in terms of shading. Also didn't realize just how colourful this gem is. 

I'm both excited to get to shading and worried with how bright some of the colours are, might need to keep breaks in mind.

Afraid it's just a doodle for now, I do want to work on this but I need to get a few pictures finished first and commissions. Anyway, this is my friend's OC [Original Character] Nate, I wanted to draw him a little older and for some reason, he's sporting a man bun, I wasn't sure if it would be his thing but apparently, it works XD

PS: Still working on Garnet's first fusion, starting to get worried I might have bitten off more than I can chew with her colour palette BUT gotta keep going!

I know I've been away for a while, what with my dog passing away and the pregnancy not making it easy. In any case, I'm finally back to drawing and recording! Finally got Garnet's lineart all finished and can't wait to start working on those cotton candy colours! Admittedly I was somewhat avoiding her due to her hair but got passed it in the end, thanks to my husbands advise ^^

Just wanted to have some fun with this one, I wanted a new icon that wasn’t related to anything though I admit she is heavily inspired by Tieflings from D&D.

That said I will admit this was a challenge for me, I don't believe I've really worked with blue skin before so I struggled a little with how to make the blue skin tone seem believable. I think I learnt a lot from this piece and I'm glad to have challenged myself like this.

I wasn’t really happy with the background I did for her before so I tried again to make it look more like she’s in the ocean and honestly I’m pretty proud of this. I just hope I remember how to do this again should I need to.

Mermaid Alice - Complete

You might remember this from a while back, well I finally finished it off.  Honestly, I'm really happy with how the shading turned out on the tail, tried it on the skin too, though didn’t work as well on the hair...

I admittedly used YCH for reference 'cause mermaid tails are harder to draw than they look! This artist really helped me understand mer-tails better.

OC dump - Alice and Jesse in Hogwarts AU 

Okay so me and my friend might of gotten a little too deep into a Hogwarts AU where our characters have to deal with each other, Alice due to her mother’s influence hates Slytherin and what would you know? The guy she becomes best friends with and will fall in love with in the future is Slytherin, these two really don’t get along at first, I love it!

Also takes Alice years to accept her Slytherpuff nature
