6 months ago I had the privilege to travel to Nicaragua with a missions team from my school. In 6 months I will have the amazing opportunity to lead a missions team to my hometown Durban, South Africa. The Fingerprint of God
We each have our own unique set of fingerprints that we can be identified as. When God made us, he made us in His image, pressing his fingerprint into our soul. See it's not that we physically look like him, God is a spirit and is not limited by a body. We have some of God's characteristics (and I'm sure we'll discover even more characteristics when we get to heaven that we didn't even know existed) But you see it doesn't stop there, and this is where it get exciting. When Jesus died on the cross and then 3 days later rose from the dead, he gave us his fingerprint.
The bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:21 "God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God." When Jesus took our sin and shame, we got his righteousness. This means is that we get to identify ourselves by God's goodness, and his is good and perfect in every single way. because Jesus gave us access to this beautiful exchange, when God looks at us he doesn't see all the times we've lied, or thought lustfully or smoked pot or stole or cheated, God the Father sees Jesus' perfection and calls us his sons and daughters. We have no right to this, but it is simply the grace and mercy of God including us in his redemption of creation. Now here is the best part, because we have Jesus' righteousness/fingerprint, when the devil, the enemy of our souls wants to remind us of our past, all we have to do is remember who our father in Heaven is and that we have secured our identity in Him. But see here's the thing, to have this access and ability to do such, you have to be part the family. And God's family is definitely not some sort of exclusive club, for example some members include Moses who was a murderer, Paul who used to be a terrorist, and rehab who was a prostitute ... But see what all these people have in common is the fact that they gave their lives over to God.
The bible, which we believe is the inspired word of God says that If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9 ) All this means is believing this about Jesus and giving him full authority over your life.
Don’t feel shame for something that honors God no matter how weak or foolish it makes you look in the eyes of unbelievers.

A pastor once told me that Christianity can be summed up in three simple phrases:
“God loves you, and He’s pursuing you right now, because He loves you that much.”
And by God, I believe that truth is enough.
There Is Nothing Wrong With Being Single
So life has been quite interesting lately. Half the people I know are getting engaged while the other half are running around playing Pokemon Go, and I seem to be doing neither...
I’ve always assumed that being single meant I wasn’t close enough to God. I don’t know where these assumptions came from; but I have a feeling that I’m not the only one who thinks like this. We’ve got this odd notion that our singleness means we’re doing something wrong. People blame their singleness on anything under the sun. There is nothing wrong with being single. Sure having a special someone is wonderful, but spouses (and potential spouses) are not meant to complete you but rather to complement you. A significant other brings out the best in you, supporting you and may even enhance your gifts and talents.
But being single really isn’t a bad thing. When you’re single, it’s an excellent time to *drumroll* focus on yourself. Focus on your goals, your education, and your job. Being single is like having an extended “me time” where you can lay-down a great foundation for the direction you want to go in life.
Being single is a time to do those things rather than mope around about not having a boyfriend/girlfriend. I once read how we ought to use our singleness to pour into the next generation. We ought to set for them a godly example of what a young man or young woman looks like.
Now I’m not saying relationships are bad- not at all. But we have to learn to be satisfied with ourselves and our life with God before we can properly be satisfied in a relationship. Without the hand of God in it, relationships, and really any thing in life, will leave you empty.
When God wants to join your life with Mr. (or Miss) Right, do you really doubt that He wouldn’t lead you and that person? But in your time of waiting be patient, and draw closer to him. There may be things that God wants to do in this season of your life, in you and through you.
So really, being single isn’t awful. When you view life as an adventure with God, then life is absolutely wonderful. So basically the point of this post can be summed up in Jesus’ words in Matthew 6:33 “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Seek God during this time, draw closer to him, spend time with the Lord getting to know Him, learn what He wants you to do in this season of your life. Seek Him before you go and seek him (or her). And when He wills for you to move onto the next chapter of your life, He will bring that person your way.
People seems to believe that everyone needs to be in a relationship (and don’t get me started on need verses want) anyways! the 20s are a great time to discover who you are, and of course, who God is.
As for me, being single doesn’t necessarily mean that I’m not close enough to God, or that I’m doing something wrong, but like I said, it’s a great time to get to know Him more. So all there’s left to do is chase after God, glorifying Him in everything, and serving Him and others with love. And when the Lord brings the right guy along, in His time, we’ll serve God together.
"Run wild. To risk everything. To hold nothing back. To lay it all on the line- your reputation, your success, your comfort. It’s that moment when fear is overcome by faith. Live free. It’s not the liberty to do whatever you want whenever and wherever you want. But rather it’s living in accordance with the Author of humanity, and finding freedom by connecting with the Creator who conceived you. Let the light flood into your eyes for the first time, feeling the blood course through your veins, finding the truest version of yourself by knowing the One who knows you even better than you know yourself. Love strong. Because you were first loved. Because without love, we all perish. Because the earth and the stars can and will pass away, but love, love will always remain…" #forkingandcountry #NoitsNotReal #YesIWishItWas

Meet Nolan. Some people want to define Nolan but his limitations. But, see here's the thing, because Nolan has Jesus Christ he is in fact limitless. This incredible young man decided to use what he has and has started an ice cream truck business that raises money for Speed The Light, which provides vehicles and other necessities to missionaries around the world. Because Nolan has put his identity and faith in the resurrected and victorious Jesus, he too can be victorious and do what man thinks is impossible. Let Nolan be an example to all of us to put all our faith and identity in Jesus, overcome the obstacles in our life, and change the world around us for Jesus. "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." - Matthew 19:26 #louisville16 #STL #NFAF (at KFC Yum! Center)
If your prayers are not answered the way you wanted and on your timetable, don’t be bitter. Don’t be discouraged. Let it go. God has something better, something greater, something bigger in your future.

mhmm!! Also pray and ask God to help you let go. Ask Him to help let go of these unanswered desires, if it is His will, and give you the desires of His heart
I find it really beautiful when someone prays for you without you knowing. I don’t think there’s any form of deeper and purer love.
