Black History Month is here! My son and I are the authors of the book, Our-Story Black History for Kids: Scientists. I started exposing him to Black History at three-years-old through story telling and hands-on activities. One of his favorite projects was the making the rocket. It helped him remember Mae Jemison, who was a NASA astronaut and the first Black woman to travel into space. We wrote this book so other children could have a fun experience with learning Black History. Most of the projects use household materials.
