I am to pooped to pop! 😴 I had the pleasure of taking my sister and her boyfriend to the airport in the wee hours this morning, and have been working on au pair jobs ever since. Real Talk: . What do you base your self worth off of? Is it based on how you look? Is it based on how much money you have in the bank? Do you find your self worth in how many friends you have? As I was making lunch yesterday, I found myself judging myself by the nutrients I was putting into my body. It wasn’t green, it wasn’t little, it wasn’t what I deemed as “worthy”. Yet, does that make me any less of a person? Do I suddenly have less value because I didn’t have a salad for lunch? Heck no! My worth needs to be found in who I am grounded in, Christ. Good morning friends! 🙋‍♀️ I hope your morning is being filled with moments of joy and peace. I know I dedicate this day to the Lord! 😌🌄 . Blueberry banana smoothie bowl with frozen blueberries, banana, and gluten-free oats! 😍💙 + I added a scoop of plant based protein powder! I know this bowl looks very put together, but that is so not reality! I have a hand held immersion blender and container, and I eat my smoothies straight out the container like a cave man. 😂🤷‍♀️ It saves me dishes to do, and is just so much more convenient. Expedition Healthy is now live!!! 😍🙌 I’m so excited to share with you my journey, and hopefully you will feel empowered and encouraged by the posts I publish. I’m still working on updating MailChimp, but soon that too will be functional! I’m feeling so productive today! 😂 . Striving to become a more healthy, strong, and passionate woman of God, I encourage all of you to continue to lead on Christ throughout your journey. I can say for a fact, that if I did not have Him, I would not be here. I would have ended up starving myself to death. This is something I struggle with. 😔 My body is a temple to God, and by not nourishing it, and by condemning it as, “not good enough” I am spitting in the face of my Savior. So, as I am experiencing severe extreme hunger lately, it’s so easy for me to convert back into my old manipulative ways, but I refuse to. I am pushing to continue to have courage and persevere. This struck a nerve. My brother is being homeschooled, but is participating in a school funded curriculum. His nutrition assignment consisted of counting calories and how that equals weight loss/weight gain. Can we acknowledge how demented that is to be teaching children nothing about nutrition, but simply that if you cut calories, you lose weight, and eat to much you will gain. This is teaching them that it is normal to count calories, diet, and eat whatever you want if you keep under x amount of calories. This angered me! 😡 As someone who started out that simple path many years ago, I’m living proof that it can only lead to a sick, and unhealthy life. 😔 Why are we not teaching this generation about actual nutrition? About that calories don’t matter as long as you eat a balanced whole foods plant based lifestyle? Why is this so difficult to understand? 🤦‍♀️😓 . So, I’m starting off my day by not restricting, but eating a healthy, and well balanced breakfast. Hello people! We have made it to the weekend! This week was honestly a big batch of rocky road ice-cream, but I overcame! 💪😂 . I am starting my day by watching some inspirational YouTube videos in my room because it's a challenge to get out of bed and face the world today. I was planning on possibly heading out today, but if I can get out of my room, that will be a win. . I made some overnight cinnamon zucchini oats with banana, grapes, and PB2!
