All Plants in Normal Quality
When I wanted to build a botanical garden (don’t expect it to be finished anytime soon), I wanted to have normal quality plants, so Sims could harvest them and plant and evolve them at home. Well, turns out it is easy enough to find perfect plants on the Gallery, but plants of normal quality are nowhere to be found. Then I set out to buy all the seeds from debug and have my super scientist Nova grow them to maturity so I could save copies of them for later use.
For all the builders out there who want to build community gardens, or give their family homes a cute little starter garden, you might find this useful. Also for those players who want to cheat a little but not too much ;)
I’ve uploaded everything to the Gallery and I’m also sharing the tray files this time. There are a couple of things to keep in mind:
Any room that contains trees, must be placed on a floor that has medium or tall walls, or else the trees go missing.
If you have Seasons installed, plants may go dormant once you place them in your game, even when going from sheltered to sheltered. They will probably return to their normal form after several hours.
The Tree of Emotions is planted seven times, one for each berry. I think these trees only spawn that particular berry (at least that’s what happened in my game this time, unlike before). If you want all of them together, you’ll need to graft them.
Does not include the death flower, I kind of forgot about it and since it’s not an official collectable, it didn’t show up in my “Did I get all of them?” check. Oh well, it’s not something your Sims will use on a daily basis, right?
All plants should be watered, weed free, insect free and ready to harvest. I don’t think they’ll give a full harvest, but it should give something.
Remember to take proper care of the cowplant. Feed it approximately every 12 in game hours.
Special trees (growfruit and forbidden fruit)
Outdoor Retreat (the “Aspiring Herbalist” collection)
Get to Work (the “Alien Fruits” collection)
Vampires (the “Plasma vs Garlic” collection)
Cats and Dogs (the “Catnips” collection)
Jungle Adventure (the “Emo Berries, Beans and Avocado” collection)
Seasons (the “Pretty Flowers and Green Veggies” collection)
All rooms are zipped up into one neat folder, which you can download here (dropbox). You should be able to download either the entire folder or separate parts. That’s what I was able to do anyway, but I make so little use of dropbox that I probably could have done this differently but simply don’t know how.
To use, unzip the files, pick the room(s) you want to have and copy the files from that folder (each folder contains 4 files) to your tray folder.
If you have any questions, or any issues, please let me know.
