āæ info, previews and download under the cut! āæ
please use the maxis white swatch (highlighted below) as your base texture. this is the swatch i used in making the gradients for my palette, so using any other swatch will likely result in incorrect shades.
i have also included an example texture PNG in the zip file, please use it to roughly match (doesn't have to be exact) the shade and contrast of your base texture to the shade and contrast of that example PNG. you will also want to de-saturate your base texture to be grayscale, as the maxis white swatch is slightly tinted and therefore may result in incorrect shades.
if you need help with anything, please don't hesitate to message me! š

Sims 4 Studio Palettes: Big Softie and Cozy Classics
Hi all, I wanted to share the Sims 4 Studio palettes I'll be using for most of my items. I pulled the colors from some of my favorite EA palettes, so you can mix and match with game items. Big Softie is filled with soft neutrals and subtle colors, while Cozy Classics features bolder shades in every color of the rainbow.
To use, place the files in your Sims 4 Studio > Palettes folder. Once you open Sims 4 Studio, navigate to Tools > Color Palettes, click on the palette name and select "Apply Palette to Package" to use the palettes. All colors have the correct color tags applied. **You will still need to manually recolor the textures!
TOU: Feel free to use them however you want, I would just appreciate credit!
okay, phew, i think this is it. added a brown-black and other dark browns as well as some transitional colors to round out the palette. also added black and brown "salt and pepper" swatches, they don't have streaks of grey so much as they're neutralized versions of other colors. i'm gonna work on a way to make this system accessible for y'all. i'm not good at actions but i'll try! regardless, i'll make a little tutorial for the process. it's super simple i swear!
alrighty last reblog of this post - if you were interested in using this palette i made photoshop actions! i use either EA's "dirty blonde" or "light blonde" as a base (sometimes the dirty blonde shade is a little too dark!) and there's some topaz clean i use to smooth out the textures at the end but it's not necessary if you don't have it installed. i'm just tossing this folder on simfileshare for now but i'll make a fancy post in the future. in the zip i've included the aforementioned actions, a sims4studio palette, and an image of all 26 swatches. i've been calling it the soft shock palette, btw! feel free to do whatever you like with it, edit it, use only some colors, whatever's useful, just tag me if you feel like it cuz i wanna see!

I'll log updates and brief tutorials in the read more below!
Updates:
8/18/23: I added Lawn Green, Periwinkle Blue, and Dishwater White. I've also updated the color swatch for Bright Olive so it's lighter and more distinct from Lawn Green.
11/18/23: I added Nebula Purple and rearranged swatches to better match the Photoshop swatches preset and Sims 4 Studio palette. I also added gradient maps.

We got a new tenant š the truth is we are still pretty low on money and one empty room in the house so bringing in a roommate seemed like a perfect idea
I finally got around to making proper actions for my extra hair colors and since someone asked for them I figured they could be released. Do with them as you please š
base: EA swatch n.13 - Dirty Blonde. The actions preserve transparency and thus work on both .png and .dds images.
Hi! I wanted to share this palette I made to coordinate with clothing items that came with the Werewolves game pack (for kids and adults.) Gif under the cut! I worked on it for quite a while before I made my new tights with them in mind, and anyway here it is if youād like to use it for anything :)Ā
Iām planning to recolor a couple more basegame items too, probably just accessories. If thereās anything you find yourself pairing with Werewolves CAS often that youād like in these colors lmk, and I can post them at the same time as the tights (one day soon lolā¦)
Here is a download (Google Drive) that includes the above image, swatches for Photoshop, and a color palette for Sims4Studio.Ā
I use light gray as a base for recoloring. Feel free to do whatever youād like with this, just donāt reupload, andĀ no paywalls/early access/trickeryĀ etc, please. Thanks :)
Hex codes are given with a hashtag. RGB codes are given with brackets in [R, G, B] order. Colors are listed in order from left to right.
Week 1
#F2D68A [242, 214, 138]
#FAA437 [250, 164, 55]
#DCD8D8...
The Photoshop actions include all 178 colors you see above. I also included a psd file with an example texture for recoloring with these actions.Ā
The following explains how IĀ personally recolor hair textures. If you have your own way, thatās totally fine.Ā
Import the white hair texture file of the EA palette. Set the saturation to 0% via theĀ āImageā menu in the top bar in Photoshop. If you use my psd recolor file, change the settings in theĀ āBrightness/Contrastā layer to your liking - I always keep it between 35% and 50%, depending on how bright the basic white texture already is. Last step is to simply use my actions on the hair texture layer. Thatās all.
A small tip in case you didnāt know: If you record your saving progress of your picture file in the single color actions, Photoshop will save it and the next time you run your actions again, it will save the picture on your computer automatically, where you saved it before. It is a pain in the ass to record every single saving progress the first time, but if you recolor hairs regularly it will be worth it in the end and saves a lot of time. I didnāt include the saving progress in my Photoshop actions, because I have no clue how it would work on other computers.
Thatās all. Iām bad at explaining, so if you have any questions, feel free to send me a message.
New! Iāve uploaded my Photoshop color swatches (.ACO) to make life easier for anyone who wants to use these colors. Please note, Iām using CS3, so there may be compatibility issues, but Iām pretty...
this initially started as a palette of retro colours (I donāt know if you can even tell anymore), but of course it developed a life of its own, and it is now a giant palette of a lot of versatile colours. theyāre tested on both objects and clothing items, and they look quite lovely on both.
what is included in the .zip file: a ton of stuff. thereās a set of colouring actions, a S4S palette file, a .txt file with names and hex codes, a set of .aco files for Photoshop, and previews to colour pick from. the actions work best if you run them on a light grey base, but you can try running them of pookletās base as well for some fun results. you can use 7zip to unzip the.. zip⦠file, and choose the things you want. butĀ if you need help with anything, feel free to ask!
and, as always, an additional picture of the swatches with their names of which Iām pretty proud of (rock & roll milky and bloodshot mousey are my personal favourites. it seems Iāve developed a thing for pinks.)
