i have a question for more experienced sims mod-users!!!

i was looking at lot51's mods list and the core library thingy they use and would love to download some of their mods, but im not sure if itll be too much for my little laptop -- could anyone tell me if the core library and a couple of their mods would be a heavier load on my mods folder or if it wouldnt really do much? i do already have wonderful whims installed if thats important at all, i just dont really know how lot51 mods work and how much space they take up😓
