Victoria "Johnny" Costandia Culver. She was beautiful and a force to be reckoned with. She left us so suddenly, so tragically. So many of us mourn her and miss her, but none more than her three beloved children and the love of her life, Don. We were three sisters, and now we are two. Anyone who knew her knows that the most important thing in her life was her love and concern for her children and their futures. Please help us to help her kids get over this biggest hump to get on with their future. Without Vicky's income, the house they shared in Seattle isn't sustainable. The immediate issue is to keep their household going through June, so that Marco the youngest can graduate from high school and they can all have a little breathing room to see what their next steps will be. Don and Mia and Tasso and Marco are all working and contributing as much as they can, but we know they need more support. We hope we can take some of the scariness off of this bewildering change in fortunes. With love, Soula and Sarah - her sisters.

Hello all!

This is the daughter of simsiseny, a couple months ago she passed away. Ever since then we are struggling financially as she was the main source of income for our house. We all work but rent, medical expenses and utilities and food are expensive where we live. Please help us keep a roof over our heads!

This is Simsimeny’s daughter. It is with my deepest regret to inform you all that she has passed away. She was my world, and she showed off the worlds she created in Sims. She was the best mom I could have asked for.

While they waited for Alejandro, Ophelia made an attempt to talk with Else. Marka’s lecture this morning was eye opening. It made her look at her self as others see her and the image was disturbing. She didn’t want to be a horrible human being. She had to admit that the reason she was so mean to Elsa was because she was pretty and sweet. Her perfect nose really infuriated her. What she wouldn’t admit to herself was that Elsa broke up with Sean not the other way around.

Alejandro finally showed but the group was getting bored.

Ophelia’s determination to be a nicer person did not extend to Alejandro.

“What happened to your pants, Archie?”

“Ha ha, you silly child. It’s fashion!”

The travelers were going to meet up with Alejandro at the fountain in front of the National Museum.

Ophelia was mortified at the scene Marka had witnessed and horrified at the prospect of being poor. She was going to do everything in her power to make her G-mama love her again even if it meant looking at some giant naked man.

Look Ophelia, its “The Thinker” by Auguste Rodin. He was a French sculpture whose works were so real that he was accused of making casts of his models.

Ophelia dutifully stared at the statues ass.

It was going to be along day.

Ophelia was shocked that Marka had heard her. She tried hard not to reveal her nasty side to those she loved. She had even forgotten that Sean was there.

“I’m sorry G-mama. I didn’t mean to be mean.” I was just telling Elsa that I’d lend her some clothes if she needed them.”

“Don’t try to bullshit me, granddaughter. I heard you loud and clear. SLUT! How dare you.”

Do you know who is a slut? I AM! I’ve spent the best years of my life as a SLUT! I’m still a slut. Are you going to try to shame me now?”

Ophelia was for once speechless and a little grossed out.

“If I ever hear you talking to anyone that way again I will disown you. You think you are rich? Well you’re wrong. I’m rich, you live as I wish you to live. It could all go away in an instant.”

At that moment Marka entered the picture and she was pissed.

“How dare you talk to our guest like that.”

“Don’t listen to a word she says. You are a lovely girl. My granddaughter is clearly suffering from being a total entitled ass.”

Despite the delightful day and the food poising there was an underling problem within the group which everyone but Marka knew about. It revealed itself at bedtime. The boys had to share a bedroom and so did the girls but Ophelia hated Elsa so much that Elsa chose to sleep on the sofa rather than be alone in a room with Ophelia.

The next morning Elsa was still exhausted from her night on the sofa. Ophelia didn’t try very hard to mask her rage.

When she saw Elsa wearing nothing but a towel she couldn’t withhold her hatred any longer.

“What’s wrong with you. Put some clothes on this instant. You’re nothing but a slut!”

“I can’t believe Addison invited you on this trip. What does he see in you? You are a gold digger and a slut and you’re taking advantage of him.”

Elsa tried to defend herself but Ophelia wouldn’t listen.

“Are you so poor that you don’t have any clothes or are you trying to get Sean back? Because you will never get him back, he doesn’t like sluts!”

Marka leaned in a little closer,

“Do you see the girl over there in the big floppy hat? She is in desperate need of culture. I want her to be immersed in art. I want culture coming out her ears.”

(He smelled quite good.)

“I see.” Alejandro responded. “A spoiled little princess I presume.”

“Exactly!”

“It will be my pleasure, dear lady!”

There was an abrupt ending to their day when Addison groaned, “Grandma, I don’t feel so good.”

A local youngish man was watching the group with interest.

He approached Marka and introduced himself.

“My name is Alejandro Diego Dominguez. I noticed you are traveling with a group of youngsters. Are you in need of a guide? I would so enjoy showing such a lovely American around the most beautiful city in the world.”

“Maybe, what should we see while we are here. I want to make sure my grandchildren and their friends learn a lot about the culture.”

Alejandro exclaimed,

“You must visit the Basílica i Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família, and the Castell de Montjuïc, and you must see the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya! Barcelona is the cradle of Catalan culture. It’s a city of life, art, music and love.”

“It sounds heavenly.”

Ophelia was enjoying the warmth of the sun.

She sought out Sean while her g-mama was distracted with some weird old guy.

She couldn’t believe she had pulled it off. 5 whole days in the same suite with Sean.

The heat rose off her body.

By the time it was Ophelia’s turn to order she was ready to kill the server.

“You are a worthless piece of shite.”

“I wouldn’t order from you if you were the last servant on earth. Do you know who I am?”

“And you can forget what would have been the biggest tip in your otherwise crappy existence.” (Body language translation “I will fuck you up.”)

Other than that blip in a lovely day the group was having fun and enjoying the reprieve from the winter snow.

After the Maritime Museum they wandered into a charming open market. The group was hungry and tired after the long flight and sightseeing activities.

Luckily, there was a little outddor cafe.

Addison was the first to be served.

He ordered a piece of pie that ended up looking like pile of blech and took forever to be served.

The Maritime Museum was an odd experience.

Marka wasn’t too sure what she was looking at.

Ophelia was already bored with the whole thing.

Sean and Elsa hung back. They were a little nervous about being included in someone else’s family vacation. Not to mention that they were still awkward around each other since the break up.

I found a treasure trove of historical paintings on modthesims and @nilxis kindly gave me permission to redo the interior of the National Art Museum in their Barcelona world and here are the results.

I tried to make sure that all paintings were from Spanish artists. There are galleries for Joan Miró, Diego Velázquez, El Greco (Greek by birth, Doménikos Theotokópoulos, but part of the Spanish Renaissance), Pablo Picasso, Francisco De Goya, and Salvador Dali.

After a quick stop at the hotel Marka dragged all the teens into the streets for site seeing. Their first stop was at the Columbus Monument which was within walking distance from the hotel.

There was some grumbling but not much because they were actually curious about the city.

Ophelia planned to keep an eye out for dance clubs because she knew the drinking age was officially 18 but they were very lax in checking.

Next was the Maritime Museum which was directly across the street.

Marka knew that Ophelia was trying to trick her into taking a trip but the truth was it sounded like fun.

It was hard not to laugh. Culture, what a laugh. But the laugh was going to be on Ophelia because they were going to the museums. And they were all going to take art classes and language classes. She was willing to be tricked but there was going to be a price to pay.
