Re: Things I wish I’d known before I started hormone treatment:

Obviously everyone is different, but I wish I’d known about the possibility that my feet would grow. Not only do I have to replace all of my shoes, but given that I’ve been slowly but surely crushing my toes in shoes that were too small for me over the past few months, (and putting it down to having a job where I’m on my feet for 10 hours at a time rather than considering that my feet had grown) I now need to have surgery on each of my big toes. Not the first surgery I was hoping to have after starting hormones, but there we go. Just something to look out for if you are starting hormones and your feet start to hurt, look at getting some bigger shoes sooner rather than later

The Poet is Dead is a visual adaptation of the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice and contains my original artwork and photography
