Shouldn't the Pleasants be concerned about the gang of ghosts that seemingly haunt their neighbour's trees, causing them to perpetually float several metres off the ground? Even if they're not ones to believe in the paranormal, this total collapse of the laws of physics should be enough to make anyone pinch themselves to make sure they're not dreaming...
Luckily for them, there's a new mini mod to exorcise these physics-breaking phantoms!
Pre-Ghostbusting:
Post-Ghostbusting:
Just like with Sims2RPC's options for higher resolution imposter textures, you'll need to enter a lot, modify it (deleting an object and undoing the deletion is enough), save, and then exit the lot for the imposter to be updated.
And before anyone asks, the reason these steps are necessary is because this is the only time the game completely regenerates every aspect of a lot's imposter - blame Maxis :D

Okay, this one wasn't from my WIPs folder or my "To Share and Upload" folder (oopsies) but I knocked up this mod today because reasons.
It has always upset me that if a sim has a bank account (using Monique's banking system) and they die, their banked money disappears into thin air. I first discovered this when Mortimer Goth died in my old Pleasantview series with around $200k in his bank account, which we then lost. Noooo!
So I've done something about it.
Read on below the cut
To make this mod I edited the Grim Reaper BHAV "Sub - Process Death - Pre-UrnStone" to check:
Is Monique's mod installed, and
Did the sim had a bank account.
If no the BHAV continues unchanged, if yes, the mod runs a CT to search for a "next of kin" to inherit their banked money in this order:
Spouse
Children
Any other family member
Siblings (who may be living in another house)
If it cannot find any sim who fits that criteria, the money will simply die with the sim.
Of course, Monique's mod allows for saving money but also for loaning money, so be warned - if it was a loan account, the message will be slightly different...
Poor kid.
Then it's up to you if you want to forgive that loan or not, O Watcher 😉
If the next of kin has their own bank account with savings in it and they are chosen to inherit debt, the mod will adjust their account accordingly.
How to Install:
Replace "MQ_Computer_Global_Bank_Controller" with my tweaked file in the zip.
Conflicts:
I am only aware of one conflict right now which is Lamare's age tooltips mod, so I included a comp patch for that which must load after both mods :)
Just something that I started work on a few months ago, just gotta get off my ass and finish it. These are all made with scans from real world magazines from throughout the 1990s, mostly found on the Internet Archive.
If anyone has more resources for IRL magazine covers from this time, I'd genuinely appreciate it since it's been a pain to find good resources.

Hey!! Finally I've converted something else from nsves, I loooove their cc. This is a colorful face paint that you can mix and match with almost anything — all makeup and face details are supposed to come up on top of it. I hope you have fun with it!

Hi! On your fight can kill mod you mention you have a mod that reduces fighting. Which mod is that? Thank you!
Hi,
Yeah, sorry, I was going to post it sooner, but I usually don't love writing posts for my mods, I wish I could post a link and people just knew what the file did and what to do with it 🥺😛 Straight from my brain
It's this beast that modifies about 60 social and self interactions and a few object interactions
Act To Your Personality
is how I called it, and it was originally suggested by @daydreamingdrawerette (I think that was the name)
Basically, it restricts interactions by personality. For example, if a sim is very serious, they don't autonomously perform playful actions, and user directed playful actions are moved under "Out Of Character" sub-menu (this way the action is still available, but reminds me that this sim isn't the type to do it)
This is how I grouped the actions:
Mean, fighting, and attacking may be the most detailed. The mod takes into account sim's niceness points, if they are furious at the target sim, and if they have learned anger management. Additional condition specifically for attacking (dust cloud fight): sims don't autonomously start it if they have a recent memory of winning or losing a fight with the same sim. How recent is recent? About 3 days, may be less if they spend time on community lots. (Technically, all memories have "strength" value that goes down to zero with time. The "stronger" the memory, the longer it takes to decay. If the mod detects a fight memory with non-zero strength, it's a no go)
In StricterPlay version, sims must be playful to play
In regular version - sims have to be not serious to play
Most other actions are available to medium personalities, i.e. sims with 4-6 nice points can autonomously do something nice
Download
(Choose one version)
It probably has a gazillion conflicts with other autonomy mods for the same interactions. I don't even wanna know 🙈 This is the type of mod where load order shines, just have the preferred mod load last
the 'What's This?' interaction whenever you buy a new object - restricted to fortune Sims or those with an interest in money
the 'Dance On Toes' interaction between children and their older family members - restricted to when music is playing, or outgoing Sims, or those with music & dance as their one true hobby
juggling cups, mugs, tumblers, or bottles from coffee or espresso machine, bar, or fridge - to playful Sims
making snow angel and starting snowman - to playful sims
Also added a StricterPlay version, seeing as playful actions are usually the most annoying. What's the difference?
In StricterPlay version, sims must be playful to play
In regular version, sims must be not serious to play
Most other actions are available to medium personalities, i.e. sims with 4-6 nice points can autonomously do something nice. Jokes are also available to medium-playful sims
Ever wondered why all the power plants you decorate your neighbourhoods with suddenly shut down whenever you enter a lot? Do the workers organise a mass strike during each loading screen? And who's the joker who keeps stealing all my farm fields???
With TS2VisibleHoodFX™, you can bust those pesky power plant unions and have your Sims marvel at the wonders of the industrial revolution from the comfort of their homes, as toxic pollutants pour into the atmosphere day and night! Mmm... Fossil fuels...
Complete global saturation.
Desiderata Valley - note the wild flowers, farm fields, train, and blinking water tower light.
Because neighbourhood effects were never designed to be seen in lot view, there are a few minor issues you should be aware of. I'll have to get into some technical details, so I'm leaving all the nerd stuff below the cut.
As always, you'll need either the Ultimate Collection or the disc version with all EPs and SPs to use this mod.

Issues
Maxis gimped the lot skirt's functionality when compared to the neighbourhood terrain and lot terrain. The most obvious example of this is the lot skirt looking like absolute ass, while the neighbourhood terrain has detailed cliffs etc. - both the neighbourhood terrain and lot terrain support multiple paint layers and alpha maps, whereas the lot skirt is just one, boring texture.
Unfortunately, these limitations cause some semi-annoying problems when forcing hood effects to show up in lot view.
Certain effects have bugged positioning
When you download the mod, you'll notice that along with the usual plugin, there's a config file included too. This config file is important, as it allows you to blacklist neighbourhood effects to prevent them showing up in lot view.
Why might you want to blacklist effects? Well, several effects appear to require something called an 'effect map' to be positioned correctly in the world (don't ask, I don't know what an effect map is either).
The neighbourhood terrain and lot terrain both have an effect map, but importantly, the lot skirt does not. This means that the effects that rely on an effect map for their positioning (mainly those that are placed on water) will appear way up in the sky when you load in to a lot:
If you want to know why they get placed in the sky, it's related to a peculiar bug(?) I discovered while trying to figure out why decal effects (e.g. farm fields and wild flowers) weren't appearing in lot view, even though I could clearly see the game creating and processing them in the debugger.
Basically, things like decals and shadows need to be assigned to an overlay manager which... manages overlays. For whatever reason, when you load a lot from the neighbourhood, rather than assigning these to the lot terrain or lot skirt overlay managers like the game logically should, it instead assigns them to the neighbourhood terrain overlay manager. The same thing happens with the effect maps - the neighbourhood effect map is used, not the lot terrain one.
The neighbourhood terrain coordinates aren't actually 1:1 with the lot skirt. The game generates the lot skirt below the neighbourhood terrain during the loading screen, and translates the position of each object downwards. Couple this with the neighbourhood effect map being used, and you get boats sailing around in the sky.
It isn't until you travel to a community lot or switch to another playable household while in lot view that the game starts using the relevant lot effect map and overlay managers. For example, if you load the Goth household from the Pleasantview neighbourhood screen, then click on the Pleasant's house to switch to them, boats will suddenly start sailing around in their garden as the lot terrain effect map is now in use:
I have no idea whether this quirk has any noticeable effect on gameplay, outside of when trying to get neighbourhood effects to appear in lot view. I've already patched the decals so they correctly get assigned to the lot skirt overlay manager when loading from the neighbourhood, but I'd be interested to know if there are any instances of lot effects not appearing until switching lots due to the incorrect effect map usage!
The config file is preconfigured to blacklist any problematic vanilla effects, so you don't need to worry about adding these yourself - it's mainly there in case you run into any custom hood effects with bugged positioning that you'd want to prevent appearing in lot view.
Decals appear on top of roads
Decal effects will draw over roads in lot view, instead of drawing underneath them like in hood view, as they should do. I can't say for certain why this happens, but I'm pretty sure it's due to differences between the neighbourhood road materials and the lot skirt ones.
If we patch the code that creates the lot skirt roads to simply use the name of the neighbourhood roads instead, we can see that although the roads no longer match the surrounding terrain and have huge holes in them, the decals do correctly draw below them. Weird, right?
Either way, you should probably move any farm fields and wild flowers away from the roads to avoid this happening.
Decals that overlap the current lot's bounds get cut off
This is due to the lot skirt and lot terrain being two separate entities, each with their own overlay managers. Decals can only be assigned to one of these managers, so are unable to be drawn by both.
The lot skirt also does some maths to mask out the lot bounds, which prevents it from drawing its overlays over the lot terrain. You can patch out this mask and allow decals to overlap the lot, but it causes all of the decals and shadows on the lot to flicker like crazy, as both the lot skirt and lot terrain are fighting to draw their overlays on top of the other (aka z-fighting).
The visible hood fx mod has received an update to fix perhaps its most annoying flaw - decals appearing on top of roads instead of underneath them.
Before:
After:
As suspected, this required making some small changes to the lot skirt shaders. I've included two versions of these shader edits in the mod - one for those using dreadpirate's shader fixes, and the other for those using the regular old Maxis shaders.
I deliberately haven't made a version for Christaskyy's Improved Lot Skirt Shaders, as he will be providing his own fixes in an upcoming update :)

Some of my other mods have been updated recently too, which I'll briefly mention here because it seems pointless to create separate post for them:
TS2 Beta Floors
Made some incredibly minor improvements to the plugin that literally no one will notice in gameplay.
Fixed missing texture scaling parameters for a number of floors which caused their textures to be much smaller than intended.

TS2 Mini Mods
May/may not have fixed the rare bug caused by TS2CineDrawDistance where Sim thumbnails could disappear after a cinematic had ended - let me know if this actually works because I have several other implementations prepared in case it doesn't!

P.S. Don't worry, I have read all of the requests and asks you guys have been sending me. I've got a bit of a backlog at the moment and I'm quite busy irl, so it might take me a while to get round to them. Apologies!
This mod by Hexagonal Bipyramid affects many traits. It gives certain traits benefits at their job by lowering the "friends" requirement by one, same as the aspiration benefit "Friends in High Places"
It was patched by BellaDovah to give Ambitious Sims this benefit in ALL careers.

MY MODS
"Anxious to Advance" Controller
Ambitious Sims now have another little challenge very similar to my Neurotic aspiration failure controller.
Every day, it takes stock of a Sim with the ambitious trait. If they're also neurotic, this controller won't have effects. They have a minimum mood threshold and if they have a low mood, the BHAV continues.
If their aspiration score is already low, the controller also won't push anything.
First, it checks job performance. If it's low, the controller risks pushing its effects.
Then, it checks memories. If the Sim has a memory of being fired or demoted, they will run a chance of this controller pushing its effects.
Then, it checks skills. If a Sim has lots of skills that are lower than 500, they risk this chance as well.
If they have a memory of being promoted, they are skipped.
Then, the controller pushes its effects. There is a ten percent chance the Sim's aspiration bar will lower. No chance of aspiration failure.
A dialog will inform you that the Sim is "Anxious to Advance".
This simulates the only known effect of the Ambitious trait in Sims 3: the anxious to advance moodlet. Works on teens and older.
Hi! I am enjoying your fights can kill mod, but I fear my sims may be a bit TOO eager to fight...I saw your additional mod, but sims acting out of character for their personality is at this point a core part of my save, so I was wondering if you'd be willing to make the part that prevents repeated fights separate? Thank you, and no worries if you don't want to!
Sure!

Finally decided to just release this as-is because the AF mesh has been done since May!
I think the tf and ef meshes can wait and I'll give them my full attention later. Meshes with multiple parts and morphs are challenging.
This is a *new* mesh!
For the uninitiated, back in April 2026, I rediscovered this old Lillany mesh I really like. But it had a problem I wanted to fix and improvements I wanted to make.
Problem fixed:
now has a fat morph and a preg morph
problem not fixed - yucky normals on the left lapel. I personally don't think it's a deal breaker but it's also far above my skill level
Improvements made:
can be used with bottom only dresses, the main reason I re-made this mesh at all
4 separate subsets!
fully alpha editable 'long' jacket part means that this can now have a short version as well as a long version
16 recolors! I added some new tops underneath the jacket for fun combinations (8DS, FMSCDesigns, FashionTwist)
I think the original textures are exellcent so I've kept them all.
You can have the old mesh and my mesh in your game if you want! On a normal sim, both meshes look the same but behave very differently if you use a bottom with a high waist or have a fat and/or pregnant sim.
Make hair and clothing default replacements without wrestling SimPE.
I've always loved making default replacements, but the actual work in SimPE was... well... annoying. So I went looking for a better way to do it, and when I couldn't find one that clicked, I started building my own. 🛠️
This is very much a personal project. I'm sharing it because this community is far smarter than I am when it comes to custom content and default replacements, and I'd rather build this out in the open with your help than pretend I've got it all figured out. So please, let me know about any and all issues you run into.
⬇️ Download / latest version: Up-to-date Download in Discord
More details under the cut 👇
Why I made this
Every time I sat down to make a default replacement, the SimPE workflow felt like more friction than the actual creative part. I wanted something that got out of the way and just let me swap the thing I wanted to swap. This tool is my attempt at that, built for myself first, shared because I figured I'm probably not the only one who feels this way.
⚠️ Read this first: it's alpha
I can't emphasize this enough: this is both a personal project and an alpha program. Please expect things to not work.
I'd happily use this for personal projects, but I'd hold off on creating default replacements you intend to share with the community. Not because the files it produces are bad, but because they may not be optimized or follow every best-practice yet. That said, each update gets better and better.
So: if you want to help improve the tool, share feedback, report bugs, and you don't mind that it's not perfect, this is absolutely for you. 💜 If you want this to be as flawless as your manual SimPE method and you can't stand the thought of hitting a single issue... it's probably best to wait, or just use SimPE for now.
What it does (and doesn't, yet)
Right now it handles hair and clothing. Most of my time and testing has gone into hair, so that's the solid part. Clothing is very much a work in progress. Expect the rough edges to be rougher on the clothing side.
How to download and use it
I try not to gate-keep anything behind a Discord (I personally hate joining a whole server for one single thing). But because this is alpha, I'm constantly pushing out new versions, and the Discord is genuinely the best way to make sure you're on the latest one no matter when you're reading this post.
It's also just easier for everyone: Tumblr is rude as hell and already shadow-banned me once for sending links in DMs, so having a place to chat and report problems directly makes life better for all of us.

A note on what I'm actually asking for
I am not a professional software engineer. I'm a Sims lover who also likes learning new things, that's it. Your help genuinely means everything here. For those of you who are far smarter than I am with default replacements, please send any and all info my way: what works, what breaks, what a "proper" file should look like. I really want to make this a solid, easy tool for default replacements, and that starts with all of us.
So don't be shy. Bugs, suggestions, corrections, best-practices I've completely missed, send them over. 💜
hey all. I'm a little nervous for this one but after play testing I feel okay enough sharing it. I can't promise everything is perfect but. :P if there are any game breaking issues let me know but there... shouldn't.. be?
I converted both parts of the Teen Spirit sets by aliaska. It includes everything except the door.
functional things are functional. There are two versions of the computer because I also cloned a hacked Monique version. Please only keep one! (I saw @grilledcheese-aspiration mention that so thought I'd add it. :) )
you can set the dresser or mirror down first and it will fit with the other without cheats ^^
recolours are merged, collection file is included. you will need LC's shadow file, I included it in case you don't have it but you only ever need one in your downloads folder :)
and no that tv stand still has no slot. sorry.
a big thank you to all creators who made items I could peek at to figure stuff out, and clone when I couldn't. and extra special thanks to all who gave me advice. <3 (berrybluecloud, mml <3) and of course the biggest thank you to aliaska who is quickly becoming my favourite TS4 creator!

Plants Converted From The Sims Console and The Sims Bustin' Out for The Sims 2, Sims 3 and The Sims 4
UPDATED August 13, 2026 - All game versions: Fern Plant from The Sims console Create-A-Sim room is now included. The 2nd leaf texture is from the Urbz fern plant. It's respective pot recolor has also been added and will be picked up by all the other plants. Last screenshot shows the new plant.
The Sims 2: All pot textures are now repo'd to the Rubber Tree Plant. The Flower Gift is repo'd to the Queen Vivanco Roses as well.
Hello, hello! I was going through my WIP folder and found that these were pretty far along when they got set aside last year. My vision for these changed since then, so a LOT of work was done to bring this fully to life! There's a few paths you could go with plants and it was hard to decide, but I went with making them decorative. A possible future plan is to create an alternative version that utilizes their wilted/dead states, requiring them to need watering.
The textures and UV maps were completely overhauled to make the pots compatible with each other (pot textures are now 64x128 each), so they're no longer limited to just one pot recolor like they are in the console game. I have also included two Sims 1 PC inspired recolors by me of the Rubber Tree Plant and Queen Vivanco Roses. This means each plant has 13 pot recolors. In this case, I put together a cherrywood stand to go along with the Rubber Tree Plant, also inspired by its Sims PC counterpart.
This a rerelease of the Queen Vivanco Roses that was included in my 20th anniversary post, because of how the textures and UVs were altered here. The old version of the roses isn't compatible with these recolors and I recommend deleting it. The Rubber Tree Plant from the console version looks just like the Potted Rubber Houseplant in the GBA version of Bustin' Out and Urbz, so I'm considering that checked off with this conversion as well.
The Sims 2: Very Important Note!!
All pot textures are repo'd to the Rubber Tree Plant to reduce file size and provide more variety. I am considering to pool in other console packs to the Rubber Tree Plant, (similar to bedding recolors) to give them all more options. I don't know how (or know if it's possible) to repo textures for The Sims 3 and The Sims 4, so this doesn't apply here. Let me know if you have any issues! Object info is below the cut.
