What Wendy’s is doing and what needs to change.
Social media is a must when it comes to branding and promoting one’s business now in the 21st century. With fast food brands such as Mcdonald’s, Chickfila, and Wendys creating a “personality” on social media platforms like Twitter. The relatability and comedic relief of it all creates a false sense-hood of “they’re not just another billion-dollar industry”. Wendys for example is known for its zesty comebacks and funny tweets. Because of this, they’ve gained more popularity and approval from the masses. However, it comes to the point where they sometimes use AAVE and “trendy” terms when more than likely the person behind the account isn’t a black person. Especially when they misuse the AAVE and it ends up being awkward. My advice is to tone it down with the tweeting and only do it once in a while and not every day, because it’s obvious they’re seeking approval now.
