“You can’t just give up on this. On me. Don’t you know what we have? It’s the sort of thing people dream about. They make potions to steal it.”
- Any Way the Wind Blows by @rainbowrowell
Please don’t be mad at me, y’all. I just found the entire blocking of this scene so powerfully gut-wrenching, I had to get it out of my system before I moved onto anything happy. From the wand held between them to the fallen wings to Baz’s desperation and Simon’s resistance, every sentence felt designed to run us through, and I totally dug it.
Here’s the sentence that ran me through
JESKA.
This is perfect. I very nearly cited this line, too. There were so many quotable phrases in there—ironically, about the depth of the love they felt for each other, even as Simon was trying to end everything. Your lettering brings that into stark relief. 🥺
I drew Simon and Baz bc I finished Any Way The Wind Blows and I’m sad that we don’t get to read about Baz drinking rat blood anymore
Matching Simon to my Baz cover :) x
What the color a character is coded/has the vibes of says about them:
Red: You either
Have an individualist complex
Moody lone wolf vibes
Loud main character energy
You’re a homosexual with a temper and poor impulse control
Green: You are either
The one in your friend group most likely to commit war crimes/get arrested
A huge fucking nerd
Yellow: There are only three types of yellow characters
Soft boys
Stable friend in the group/voice of reason
Bitches with anxiety
And finally
Purple: ... you’re a lot of things but straight isn’t one of them
I’d saved this one to post for Simon Snow’s Birthday (June 21).
This piece was commissioned in monochrome by rossmalachi on Instagram for a tattoo. He requested a Snowbaz rendering of “The Lovers” tarot card with a composition based on comic art of Wiccan and Hulkling. The end result was this picture, which takes a few visual cues from the Rider-Waite tarot deck as well.
According to Llewellyn’s Complete Book of Tarot, this card signifies “an important choice that will significantly alter the course of one’s life… The association of the card with the [air] sign Gemini suggests love between individuals that can endure for an eternity.”
Here’s hoping, birthday boy. My fingers are crossed.
the utter excitement that i feel when a book has a map at the front is ridiculous

I tried to capture what loneliness would look like if we could see it.
hi i'm sorry but your post about being the racist in your own life made me question something: are you not supposed to call a headscarf a hijab? are there other terms that would actually be correct but have been trampled over by white western people?
there are multiple uhh different kinds of headscarves and modesty coverings. usually people refer to all the kinds as “hijab” kinda like a catchall, but that’s incorrect.
here’s some images. it’s just tiring to see them all called hijabs. one of them is a hijab.
[image description: several graphics and art detailing the different modesty coverings in Islam. The first set of graphics details the shayla, hijab, hijab amira, kimar, chador, niqab, and burqa. The second set of graphics detail these coverings with descriptions. The first is a Burka, under it a description that says “Full body, covers entire face, a mesh screen covers the eyes.” The next details a Niqab, with a description that says, “Veil for the face, eyes remain visible”. After that is a graphic of a Hijab, which says, “square scarf covers head and neck”. After is a Chador, and has the description “ Full-body cloak”. Then is a Shayla, with a description of “A Long scarf, wrapped around the head”. Next is an Al-Amira, which description says it is a “Two-piece headscarf”. The last veiling portrayed is a Khimar, which the image describes it as “Cape-like, covering the hair, neck, and shoulders”. END ID]

Initially I made them match only in one direction but the flow works either way and that feels very Right
