“That’s a great way of putting it,” he reflected. Damian hadn’t thought about it like that, the conversation almost humbling him in a way. It was nice to be shown other point of views, anything that could help him see the bigger picture more clearly, the better. Maybe he could come up with some magic-potion shampoo that could cater to his own specific needs, but then again he also didn’t have the extra time or the brain power to do so; the kindness of a stranger in the beauty salon would have to do. Taking serious notes of her comments, he stored them in his memory bank for later-use, knowing he would most certainly end up in the same predicament once again. “Alcohol, bad. Got it.” he nodded. “I’d probably end up bald.” He sighed dramatically, playing-up the gravity of the situation. He raised a brow to match, challenging her own, “Am I?” He might’ve been. He definitely was. It was hard not to. “I can see why,” he followed up.
“Yeah I’d leave the kids to making a fool of themselves online, digital footprints and all.” He knew first hand how social media could get people into serious trouble, whether that be everlasting secondhand embarrassment or even more violent, legal matters. “I love dumb people. Without them I would barely have a job. Well, that’s just one half I guess.” He realized he was now rambling. “Sorry,” he brought himself back. “I’m Damian,” he said, introducing his hand to the other.
She didn’t know everything about shampoo because she had learnt most of it in real time while spending her time at a certain app. However, she would share whatever information she had with other people in the hopes that they wouldn’t put harmful chemicals on their hair. People had different textures and needs so she hoped that he would take some of the information she gave him with a grain of salt. “I know that you would need hydration but I know alcohol is just generally bad for everyone.” All types of hair as it was a drying agent. Putting the bottle away, she picked something up and then handed it to him. “This might work for you. Mind you, my advice often comes from people who claim to be experts on an app that I binge so I can’t be responsible for anything that happens if you decide to listen to what I have to say.” She paused to look at him, shrugging. “You haven’t complimented my ass, so maybe not.” That tended to be what people liked most about her.
She nodded her head. It was sound advice and she hadn’t gotten so invested in the app that she was looking to actually try and get on it with people. “Well, dumb people do make the world go round. we need all types.” Including the idiots of the world and sometimes they were good to have around for comedic relief. “Damian. I like it. It suits you. I’m Claudia. Most people call me Claude.” It wasn’t cute but she felt it suited her.
