Dochula Pass between Thimphu and Punakha is unlike any of the pass you'll encounter in Bhutan. It is possibly one of the best scenic motorway in the world. The view of the eastern Himalayan mountain range from the pass is one of the best along with the magnificent 108 Memorial chortens.

“Voyage au bout de la peine”

Tradition de l’alpinisme, ceux qui ouvrent une voie ont le privilège de lui donner un nom. Ainsi après quelques hésitations, ont ils dénommé “Voyage au bout de la peine” cette voie de la face sud du Gaurishankar. Une dénomination qui dit tout de ce qu’ils ont vécu dans cette aventure dont l’itinéraire est tracé sur cette belle photo de l’imposant sommet.
