Things that Bump in the Night // SGRP Open
Tokiya had no fear or even acknowledged anything paranormal. Despite being shoved into a debilitated mansion that was supposedly haunted, he felt like he had nothing to fear.
But Tokiya's history with Saotome had him (more than reasonably) fearful of what the dean of their school could possibly pull, but all seemed calm until the clock struck midnight on Halloween itself.
The lights had gone out the very moment Tokiya heard the clock ring, and it didn't take him long before he was out in the hallway, flashlight in hand. He didn't realize it at the time, but his hands shook almost violently as he grasped onto his source of light, holding onto it for dear life. The hall seemed silent... Too silent for a house that was fill of his classmates, and the whole situation left Tokiya in complete unease.
Until he heard the noise behind him. He quickly twirled around on his feet to shine the light on whatever made the noise. "W-Who's there?" He tried his hardest not to sound afraid, but the question ended with an almost shrill squeak.
"Y-yeah…I mean, it wouldn’t be the first time Saotome has done something terrifying or dangerous. I guess i’m more worried about what he has planned than ‘real’ ghosts."
"... This is true. Not only that, but he has the habit of showing up wherever he chooses and at the most inopportune moments, too..." Tokiya sighed as he rubbed his temples. "This is going to be a stressful time."
"A haunted mansion? I’m not sure how to feel about this…."
"I'm sure it'll be fine. Considering there is no such thing as ghosts, anything we're liable to fine will probably be Saotome or someone he hired attempting to scare us and nothing more... Right?"
Syo snickers a little but he stops, crawling onto the bed so he can tug that sleeve away and wipe at Tokiya’s eyes himself. “Alright, alright…I get it, okay? Stop crying~.” Talk about a 180; Syo seems to be surprisingly gentle with children, even if Tokiya still remembers being older.
"I hate to tell you though…I think I’m one of the few who was spared." He sits back a bit, crossing his legs on the bed as his head tilts. "I heard something about this hitting everyone, no one knows why. But don’t worry, I’ll take care of the interview. We’ll probably have to reschedule, and we can use your higher voice to our advantage and make it sound like you’ve lost your voice~."
He doesn’t give much room for complaint though, and he reaches over to tug that shirt up and off of Tokiya’s little body. He bunches it up a little before giggling, head tilting slightly. “I wonder if some of my clothes might fit you better. Wanna go back to my room and check? Once we get you in better-fitting clothes we can go out and get breakfast or something!”
Tokiya complies almost immediately, letting Syo wipe up his tears but still looking at him with a pout. He does listen intently to the explanation, however, his eyes widening in slight horror. But when Syo mentions his plan to take care of it, he relaxes again.
But before he can answer Syo tugs his shirt off, Tokiya flailing and struggling a little more before the article of clothing is completely removed. It is a relief, especially considering how embarrassing it was to be tangled in his own clothing.
"That sounds like a good idea... I just have to make my voice a little faded and gravely right?" He clears his throat before he speaks again. "I'm sorry I couldn't come to the interview, I became seriously ill and was told to stay in bed... Something like that, right?"
But then he hears the idea of wearing Syo's clothing and getting breakfast and has conflicted feelings towards it. "O..Okay... I suppose I can't really run around naked. But... You still want to get breakfast? While I'm still like this?" He blinks a few times before he shakes his head. "Do you have any explanation if the paparazzi sees us? I don't want to risk it unless--"
He's about to say 'unless I'm extremely hungry', which is something that doesn't normally bother him. But his smaller form has a much lower tolerance for hunger, his stomach growling loudly as he looks down at it. "... Never mind. I suppose we could still get breakfast, then. Shall we go to your room?"
And before he stops himself he reaches out, wrapping tiny arms and legs around the other as he readies himself to be carried.
Karaoke Meeting // Otoya + Tokiya
Despite his amazing voice, he never scored highly on songs when he did indeed decide to perform karaoke. Maybe if he was crafty enough, he’d wouldn’t have to show this weakness tonight.
"Ahhhh, Tokiyaaaa… you’re so hard to please.."
Ittoki whined a little and rubbed the back of his head. Why was he in such a rush to return to the studio? Why couldn’t he have a fun night out? If you work too much it would be bad for your health after all and one thing was for sure, Ittoki cared a lot for his friends. So if Tokiya worked himself too much, he’d worry. The red head sighed and let out a smile.
"Well, as long as you’re agreeing to come along~! Here, I’ll go get our booth!"
He took Tokiya inside with him and went into the reception to get their booked booth. Once signed, Ittoki dragged the blue haired STARISH member with him to their booth. He opened the door and looked at the many colours and lights.
"Wooooow! Look, Tokiya! Isn’t this great~? Look! They have maracas! Doesn’t it remind you of Reichan?"
Tokiya was filled with a lot of dread, although he wasn't going to show it if he could help it. But his current... Anxieties with what was to come causes him to lash out at Otoya somewhat, despite willingly continuing to follow him deeper into the bar.
"I suppose... Kotobuki-senpai's maracas are green, however." Ever the enthusiastic pessimist. The idol slipped into a seat in the booth, only to reach out and push the giant book of songs over in the red head's direction. "You sing first... This was your idea after all." His tone is insistent, once again trying to cover up the fact that he's hesitant.
He sighed a little before he rubbed at his temples, the gaudy lights inside the small room already giving him a headache. Or was that the complete irritation and absolute refusal to comply with the current situation? Who knows.
The interview isn’t just for Tokiya, but all of their S-Class sub-unit. Syo is quick to head up to Tokiya’s room, fully intending to spend the morning together and then heading to work at the same time. Since he knows Reiji and Otoya are out for their own work this morning, he doesn’t bother to knock as he walks straight in, shutting the door behind him with an eager smile.
"Tokiya~ I’m here! So are you ready for breakfast or—" But he cuts himself off mid-sentence, staring right at Tokiya in his much tinier form before his face cracks into a bright smile. "…Oh my God. Am I hallucinating?"
He chuckles, though it dissolves into gleeful giggles as he hurries over to the bed, getting a better look at his now much smaller boyfriend. “This is karma. It’s gotta be. All those short jokes have come back to haunt you~. Oh man, this is amazing.”
It was Syo that Tokiya was planning on texting first so, the fact the other manages to walk in first was convenient. Until Tokiya witnesses the reaction to his decreased stature.
He crosses his arms in front of him, no small feat considering his sleeves are too long so he struggles to look intimidating without tangling everything up. But he does manage a stern look, although it's not without its childish charm.
"Are you done?" He starts, although he sounds a little whiny. "This is a serious issue. I have no idea what happened to me and we need to figure out before the interview!"
He flaps his arms again, struggling with the clothing that's too big with him. Out of pure frustration (and possibly something else considering he's now a child) he suddenly tears up, a sleeve coming up to wipe at his eye. "Mooouuu... Syooooo! Stop making fun of me! I really... Really need your help!"
"W-W-What the heck is this!?" In his half-asleep state, Tokiya didn't take notice of his smaller proportions until he sees them in his bathroom mirror. Although when he voices his complaint, the first thing he notices is the change in pitch in his voice.
He sighs before he looks down at his now tiny hands, although a flapping of his arms reveals that his shirt is now too big for him. "This is rather inconvenient... I have a interview today! I obviously can't go like this!"
His cheeks puff out in a rather immature display before he goes back into his bedroom to text someone to help him out. Not even questioning the reason why he's stuck in such a situation in the first place. His priority, even in the strangest of circumstances, still lies in career.
Syo is very tactful about everything. He waits until nightfall before finally contacting Tokiya, calling him out the night of his birthday after all festivities have ended to the outside gardens. When they finally meet he blushes but he's prepared. "Happy birthday," he starts. "I would have called you sooner, but...I had to make sure everything was okay first. Dad and I usually make plans to see Fall Fashion Week in New York City, and...He agreed to let me bring you with us. Sound good?"
Tokiya was expecting something big, considering their relationship, but he never expected something like this.
Eyes wide, he continues to look at Syo like he's seen a ghost, his mouth gaping open and struggling for words before he shakes his head. Despite his expression, he's immensely happy.
"Fall-ru... Fah-shon Week?" He says it in English, despite slightly struggling with it. "Wow... I'd never think in my entire career I'd be invited to such a thing..."
He's honestly feeling modest about the whole thing, scratching the side of his head before he closes the gap between them. He brings Syo into a tight hug, burying his head into the other's shoulder.
"Sounds amazing, Syo... I'd... I'd love to go with you. But are you sure it's fine? Considering it's a trip to America, it's probably expensive..."
Walks into the vocalists room, carrying a basket filled with hair and body products, something that Ren /knew/ that Tokiya would like considering how much he tried so hard to take care of himself from head to toe. Cue throwing his free arm over Tokiya's shoulders and presenting the basket to him. "Happy belated birthday, Icchi~"
Despite Ren's insistence on closeness being nothing new to said vocalist, Tokiya finds himself still glancing at the blond with an exasperated stare. He pauses for a few moments before looking down at the basket now in his hands, inspecting it carefully before looking up again.
This time around, he was smiling. "Thank you very much, Ren. I'll be sure to put this to good use."
Spicing up Lunch Time // S-Class Trio
Syo mumbled a small “Excuse me” as they were ushered inside, and he took off his shoes and followed behind Tokiya as they headed towards the bathroom. “I hope you’re right. Last thing I want is some kinda interrogation, but…Even helping him out with something will be better than any sort of ideas he has about us.”
That said, why Ren would ask for both of their assistance when he’s rich and could receive professional aid was beyond Syo’s comprehension. Once in the bathroom he gently bumped arms with Tokiya, a physical apology that they couldn’t hold hands before. Their communication through subtle gestures was one of the best parts of their relationship, in Syo’s personal view.
"Ah…Even this room is huge." They could share the sink and still have plenty of personal space. "I know he’s not bragging, but wow…This place is way too impressive." He decided to take advantage though, turning on the faucet so the water would be lukewarm before immediately washing his hands with the bar of soap sitting in its own orange dish. Rich jerk.
Though when he finished up and dried off his hands with the towel, he politely exited the giant bathroom and miraculously found his way back to the main room, curiously peeking over to watch Ren cook.
"Oi, you need any help? It feels kinda weird to not be doing anything right now and I’m getting antsy."
Naturally he expected the two to go to the bathroom together; he had no issues with that what-so-ever. It would make washing up quicker than what it’d usually be like with extra guests being over for a meal. Considering his bathroom was relatively bigger than most. A large apartment wasn’t something he preferred - as a kid he nearly got lost in his own home due to all the rooms and floors - though his brothers suggested - what seemed like a demand to Ren - to get a bigger living space. Of course he took that into account when renting his place, though took care of cleaning and cooking himself so he didn’t flaunt his families finances out in the open.
Once the tortellini had finished, the saxophonist placed half of it within a glass bowl, pouring half of the jalapeno cheese sauce on top, then place the rest of the tortellini and poured the rest of the sauce on top. Placing a lid on the glass bowl to keep the contents warm of course, and using oven mitts to safely place it in the center of the dining table. Going back to the kitchen to check on the bread in the oven.
The bread was nearly done; just needed a few more minutes in the oven before it was finished and they could eat. Pushing the rack back into the oven after checking the focaccia bread, crystal hues darted to the counter after he had heard Syo ask if he needed any help.
"If you and Icchi want to do something, maybe you two can test out the new bed in the guest room seeing how close you two seem to be.” Ren did notice they spent more time together recently, thus had to make a teasing comment about the two.
"Intercourse jokes aside, Icchi, why don’t you help ochibi-chan set the table? Wine glasses are on a higher shelf, but the plates shouldn’t be that hard to reach.” Giving a shrug as he grabbed the Italian wine off the counter and placed it upon the table. “There should be cloth napkins in the cabinet next to the plates, too, so you can place those as you please.”
Pointing to each cabinet as he gave suggestions to what the two could do, just so they aren’t opening all the cabinets to find what they were looking for.
Tokiya smirked the moment Syo bumped arms with him, and he knew exactly what the action indicated. Since they were basically in private together in that room he leaned down, getting as close to the other's ear before he started to whisper. "Make it up to me later."
When he leaned back to finish up cleaning his hands, it's obvious his smirk had grown. He shook his hands to get rid of access water, something that caused Syo to be finish with drying before him. After he patted his hands against the towel to dry them the rest of the way, he followed his boyfriend into the kitchen. It was barely enough time to move before he heard Ren's lewd comments, to which he responded to with a scoff.
"Of course you would say such a comment, Ren. You see two people together, no matter what the circumstance, and assume they're in a sexual relationship. Being in the gutter isn't a good place for you, you know, considering it's unsanitary and you're currently cooking our meal." Said with a deadpan voice, he threw Ren a glare before walking towards the cabinet, deciding to get the wine glasses before Syo even had a chance to complain about reaching them.
Once he saw the bottle too, the glare got worst. "Wine? Really?" It was the only comment he made before he went back to working, knowing full well any word against it wouldn't work. It's the downside of knowing Ren so well. He rolled his eyes quickly before he cleared his throat.
"You know... You still have not explained why you invited us here. I know it wasn't simply to show off your apartment... You aren't subtle enough to do something without ulterior motives."
Karaoke Meeting // Otoya + Tokiya
It all began with Ittoki seeing a new advertisement on a shop window just outside the school. Knowing that he definitely needed to spend much more time with his room mate, this was definitely a great opportunity to take up for the two to sing together as a duet or at least get individual feedback.
So as soon as he found this out, he texted Tokiya, dragged him out of his dorm and frantically rushed to the bar via taxi, no word to the male. They finallly arrived and Ittoki’s eyes looked fascinated, really impressed with the look of the bar.
He then looked at the blue haired male next to him.
"Oh, come on Tokiya! It’ll be fun~! We can sing lots of songs together and have a good time! I’ve not seen you much this month so this is a great time, right~? Pleeeeeeeeeease~?"
Confronting the red-head about this was a lot harder than Tokiya first realized. As soon as the other mentioned not seeing him much during the moth, his anger slowly deflated into a soft sadness. Though his frustration was still obviously seen as his hands curled into loose fists.
"While it is true we haven't seen each other much... Something that is quite unfortunate... It is for good reasons. The summer is always busy because it's easier to take advantage of the summer vacation and--" And he knew full well that attempting to explaining this to Otoya would be just as effective as speaking to a wall.
"I suppose it wouldn't be too bad if I took a small break..." He trailed off, knowing giving in would simply excite the other male further. But considering the glance he received, it was too hard to resist entirely. "But only until eight PM or so. After then I need to head back to the studio."
He crossed his arms in front of him with a huff before he turned his heels, making in the initiative as he walked to the door of the bar first. He hoped Otoya wouldn't poke further into his hesitancy to go inside, especially considering it had to do with the fact that...
Despite his amazing voice, he never scored highly on songs when he did indeed decide to perform karaoke. Maybe if he was crafty enough, he'd wouldn't have to show this weakness tonight.
[[ Hi yes, I'm here today~ And I'm in a good mood and Tokiya's feeling especially excitable today so if you get random asks for starters please do not mind me~ ]]
Work by いわこ
Happy birthday, Tokiya! Here, I bought you a gift! It's a silver bracelet! Apparently it brings you lots of good luck!
Tokiya doesn't say a word as he looks the bracelet over, almost as if he's strictly scrutinizing the gift given. But it doesn't take him long before he slips it on, a perfect fit around his wrist.
"Thank you, Otoya... I'll treasure it greatly."
Karaoke Meeting // Otoya + Tokiya
It had all started at what seemed like a frantic text from his room mate. At that point, If Tokiya had asked more answers he wouldn't be in this current situation.
Once they had meet up in their room, Tokiya's prickling of anxiousness became worse as Otoya started to drag him outside the dorm, moving into a taxi without saying a single word.
The very moment they left said taxi, however, everything came together. As Tokiya stared at the flashing neon signed in front of him, all the anxiety turned to irritation, and from that irritation soon sprang full blown anger.
Despite this, the vocalist took particular care as to not raise his voice much, as to not bring too much attention to them. "Otoya..." He started as he stated the other's name with a harsh tone. "I have a new single coming out next week... A live two days after, and a PV a couple of days after that... I have a lot of practicing to do, practicing that I canceled because you told me this 'meeting' of yours was important..."
"So why, pray tell, did you drag me to a KARAOKE BAR??" Tokiya was furious to the point he started to grind his teeth, arms crossed in front of him. He was ignorant to allow the other to drag him this far without protesting, there was no way he was going to take another step until he got some answers.
Perfect Range | Tokiya & Ai
The best word to describe her current status might of been something along the lines of anxious. Though he spared her a glance as she approached him, his nonchalant expression did not waver. It left a bit of an unsettling feeling in her stomach.
Not wanting to show the hesitation on her face, however, the pinkette steeled her resolve and kept her cheery grin in place. There was no going back now. She’d been nervous before, but maybe this wasn’t going to be so bad.
He was talented and poised, right? She could only learn new things from him and grow from the experience.. right? As if to reward her optimistic attitude, she watched as he extended his hand in a form of a greeting and introduction.
"Oh, it’s very nice to meet you," she said quickly, taking his hand and giving it a gentle squeeze. The tension that she felt in her shoulders a moment before finally began to ease. "I’m sure it won’t hinder us fr—-"
Wait… what?
The pinkette blinked, obviously unsure of why his tone had come across as a bit harder then what she’d expected. Was he… trying to get something across to her? Was this why he was difficult to work with? Because he basically intimidated you before you even discussed a plan of attack?
" — Uhm, I mean… I’m sure we will be able to work together just fine! I have confidence in us and there is so much I hope to learn from you," she tried to recover her sudden drop in conversation, politely pulling her hand away once he’d returned the gesture."Well, er…so it doesn’t prove to be a problem.. how about we say a few facts about ourselves?"
"Facts about... Ourselves...?"
That seemed to catch the perfectionist's attention more than anything else the other said. Mostly because... It's the first time he's truly heard that out of a partner. Considering his infamy in the school and recent paparazzi-based reveal about his true identity... No one would bother.
Bother to figure him out, or even attempt to become friendly with him... Besides a fan girl every once in a while craving attention or an autograph. But the way the pinkette words it... He could tell she was actually attempting to be friendly, and not simply doing as such to get on his good side so he could turn around and proclaim she is friends with someone famous.
Still wide-eyed, Tokiya blinks for a few moments before his eyes return to their normal state, his shoulders drop. He looked sad... But he soon smiled, the barest hint of a smirk across his lips. Maybe it'd be better if he approached this new partner with an open mind.
"I see... That sounds like a nice enough idea, Maeda-san." He reached forward, staring to lean on his chin. It was very obvious now his attention was completely on her. "I believe it would only be proper if you were to start first, don't you think? Seeing as it was your idea..."
