Partners In Crime | Acting With Syo
"I’m mostly a model, ochibi-chan; you know that much. It’s a rare chance for when I end up getting an acting job. Even then I’m not doing much; most of the producers I end up talking to refuse me to do anything that’d ruin my appearance. Believe it or not, those are from male producers, not female ones."
As the blond assisted him in one of the stretches, Ren listened to every word that flowed out of Syo’s mouth. Normally when the smaller spoke seriously - or rather, mostly all of STARISH and Quartet Night that did that - Ren refused to listen considering he’s his own person and despite things being the wrong way, he does them anyway. However considering this was work related, the scion had no problem with listening to every word.
A frown took place on Ren’s lips as Syo continued speaking. He would hate himself if he seriously injured the other male. Especially considering he’s not used to this sort of thing. “Does that sort of thing happen though? Where someone seriously injures their partner on set?” Finishing up his stretches soon after he asked that question before standing up to regain his composer.
The scion hoped he wouldn’t mess up any; during practice, or during filming. Either he would use the wrong actions at the wrong time, or right actions at the wrong time. Not only would he make Syo look bad, he could seriously injure the smaller, too!
"If I seriously hit you, not only would Shining-san have my rear on a silver platter, the rest of STARISH would be too. Especially Icchi.." Letting out a sigh, shaking his head somewhat before continuing. "He would hate me for sure if I put you out of commission for a few days since practice for STARISH is just as important as this."
"It does, unfortunately. It's happened to some of the extras on set for Prince of Fights when they do big mob scenes, mostly because those are ad-libbed and hard to control. With this, most of our fighting is scripted so as long as we get the timing right and learn to read each others' physical cues, we should be okay."
Syo didn't really want there to be too big a risk either. He shook his head a few times as well. But at mention of Tokiya he turned a bit pink again, stammering slightly before Ren added on that it was about STARISH and (thankfully) didn't imply that he knew about his and Tokiya's intimate relationship.
"R...Right. Don't worry, as main characters our fight scenes will rarely be ad-libbed to prevent that, especially since we're typically idols and not constant actors." Once Ren was stretched Syo moved away to do a little bit of the same, mostly for his legs since his character was known for his kicks.
"It means we have to actually study each other and pay attention to how we fight as our characters and as ourselves. The other key is to exaggerate movements if you're supposed to get 'hit' at a particular point in the script."
