It has been a rough, trying few weeks. But my baby girl, Muggy, has helped keep my heart warm and a smile on my face. Today was especially hard. She hasn’t left my side since I’ve been home, and she’s cuddled up next to me now. I hate that the picture quality is so horrible (webcam picture), but I didn’t want to move her to reach for my phone.

I talked to you tonight. It was the first time I've ever spoken to the sky, hoping my voice would transcend into Heaven. I hope you're sitting with your Pap and Nona-- telling them all about our crazy and unforgettable adventures. I hope you're reminiscing with them about years gone. I hope you're laughing too loudly. I hope you're smiling too widely. I hope you're loving too deeply. I hope you know just how much we fucking love you. How much I fucking love you. Forever.

I know that I have more tears to cry, but my body is too exhausted.

Someone take me to the highest peak so I can scream at the top of my lungs.

Just when I catch my breath, I find myself answering another "What happened? I'm so sorry. I love you. I'm here for you."
