11 Dec 2015 - i remember how adam always said that his birthday is exactly 2 weeks (14 days) before Christmas. But okay this is Gwanghwamun! After reading zn’s blog and wondering how she has the patience to find and upload the pictures one by one, I recalled that I have an abandoned exchange blog XD oh wells it is not so exciting anymore and i’m sure this tumblr is dead. But i’ll try to revive it anyway. By the way blogging on my phone really doesn’t allow you to have paragraphs etc… so there. We have the famous Gwanghwamun! The entrance to Gyeongbokgung. I think it looks really pretty at night! 😊 and i was blessed with the opportunity of taking a shot with nobody right in front of it! Yeah! ✌ Gwanghwamun really reminds me of Queen Inhyun’s Man who keeps dropping from the sky in front of this place. And he’ll wander around trying to figure out what happened and how this century functioned. And thereafter, he’ll wander around trying to look for his love stuck in this century. Which well, broke up with him =( i think it’s pretty sad that celebrity couples get together and break so easily =( where’s the seriousness and commitment to relationships?? 😩
27 Nov 2015 - Namsan Tower. I hiked up so it was pretty fun and surprisingly warm despite the cold weather haha. Halfway up i was removing my beanie, scarf and gloves because it was so warm! The hike begins at Myeongdong Station exit 3. Follow the directions to the cable car place and thereafted, it's pretty easy to find your way up with road signs available at Namsan Park. Namsan is really a look-see place though. It's something like because i'm are in seoul so i must go there but it's nothing very special. Just love locks, take photos.. poor students like me won't pay ₩8000 to visit the observatory high up in the tower.. and souvenirs and food are overpriced.. yeah. Don't buy anything there. Waste money haha. Just get your heart pumped up by going up the hill and get yourself rewarded with a pretty view of the city of seoul thereafter 😎 go on a clear day! Or there won't be much to see..
27 Nov 2015 - Mabongnim Halmonie Ddeokbokki. I call it MSG overload. But lots of people love this budae jjigae with ddeokbokki inside. I didn't like it but lots of people do! It's at the ddeokbokki street at Sindang station. Quite cute la but i'd rather eat better food haha.
28 Nov 2015 - quirky sculptures at Hyeri Art Village. Hyeri Art Village is pretty interesting actually. This piece is called 토끼 꿈을 먹는, which literallg means rabbit eating dream.
28 Nov 2015 - Paju Premium Outlets. If you are from Singapore, just save time and money. Don't go there. Outlets here seem to be more expensive than original prices back home.
28 Nov 2015 - Gyeonggi English Village. Entrance fee is ₩5000 for adults. Please don't go there. Utter waste of money. Just spend the ₩5000 on another drink/toast/anything at another cafe.
28 Nov 2015 - Book House Foresta 북하우스 포레스타 at Hyeri Art Village, Paju. It's really pretty and cafe hopping on a really cold day is wonderfully therapeutic i really really loved the sweet potato latte i got and the ambience in this cafe filled with so many books 📚☕ cafes in korea are generally wonderful in every way 😁
22 Nov 2015 - At the foot of Haneul Park! Here's the Nami Island street right in the heart of Seoul 🌲 Guess it was never necessary to go to Nami Island for a tree-lined street shot. But Nami Island is still prettier and more therapeutic! 😊
21 Nov 2015 - in Korea, pretty murals are at every turn of the corner! =) here's a pretty imitation of the one at Ilhwa Mural Village =)
14-15 Nov 2015 - 푸르미관광농장 Pureumi Farm. I think it provides a really wonderful farmstay experience =) and partly because the farm owner is such a cute, mischievous and charismatic man =) here is the link: https://www.facebook.com/fourmifarm/ and the phone number can be found in the picture! They cook nice food for you too! 😁 I found the farmstay experience on WWOOF http://wwoofkorea.org/join/weekend-wwoof/ but they have different places. Here is our host’s information http://wwoofkorea.org/host-list-2/hostlist-open/ (click on CB_104). But i'm sure other places will be pretty fun too!👍
16 Nov 2015 - Bukchon Son Mandu 북촌손만두! The mandu’s really nice! So is their kalguksu 칼국수 and mandu guk 만두국! I think i’ll like their bibim naengmyeon too but didn’t get to try yesterday =( but i really wanna go and try!!! Oh but my friend said the shrimp mandu wasn’t nice. So you can skip that haha.
12 Nov 2015 - Goryeo Samgyetang 고려삼계탕 near Gwanghwamun station! ₩15,000 for this but totally love it because it was soooo good!! One of the most famous samgyetang restaurants in Seoul ^^
27 Sep 2015 - Taejongdae! First stop in busan! =) it's an easy and comfortable seaside hike with rocky beaches and pretty views 😊🐾
19 Sep 2015 - 떡 만든! Making ddeok! 🎑 did this at 광주콩종합센터체험장 (gwangju soy centre)! Pretty fun 😊 and the children's hammer is so cute! Normally they use the long hammer to hammer the ddeok. The ahjummas doing this are amazingly strong! Because the hammer is really heavy!
13 Sep 2015 - Hangang Park! It was still summer then but it was inching towards autumn so the air was very cool and fresh! =) and it's summer so everything's nice! 😊 there are a lot of people cycling, picnicing and camping there. I think koreans really like camping. And hangang park is a very pretty place and totally worth going especially if you stay in seoul 🌱🌷🌸🌹🍀🌺🌻🌼🐕🐶🐩 If you wanna cycle, just exit from yeouinaru station, walk towards the park, and i think you turn left and follow the path =) everyone's cycling on the same bike so it's easy to ask around and figure out! Bike rental prices are cheap too! ₩3000 for the first hour (i think) and ₩500 for every subsequent 15min that the bike was returned late. So just leave an ID with your face on it and pay for the initial hour. Actually i paid a total of ₩7000 for a 3hr rental but i don't remember what the charges are like other than the ₩500 charged for every 15min extension. Anyway there's a bike rental opposite hanyang university at hangang that is free for 3 hours i think? I don't know for how long but the initial few hours is definitely free. Haha koreans love cycling and hiking! Otherwise the wind is really strong it's a good place for flying kites! But i didn't see many kite flying shops so prepare your own just in case.. For picnicking people, they sell this ₩3000 mats and ₩2000 kimbaps at roadside or convenience stores!
8 Nov 2015 - Yeouido Park in autumn! Chanced upon this and its surprisingly pretty 🍁🍂🍃
