Tunnel Vision 

Singapore-based photographer Patrick van Dam captures simple beautiful shots of inside tunnels. He goes on to state “Driving through a tunnel, I feel as if I’m in a sci-fi movie and my vessel has just been launched into space from the mothership. I love the slated concrete, the symmetry and the never-ending perspective. It’s pleasing to the eye. The lighting, the shape and the place it takes you to makes each tunnel unique. Once you learn the rules, you can break them. I’ve been studying anatomy on my own for about four years, even before I began working on the Luden. He’s been an anatomical adventure in that he breaks the rules, yet still feels real to me, more so than all my other characters~.

This was a test for his mouth; how it opens and how it opens so wide. I even looked into how the nanofiber muscle would be attached to the extended mandible. The extra mechanism almost acts like an arm, two socket and ball joints with a bend. Not to mention, his skull is connected to his spine with a ball and socket joint. The nanofiber is extremely flexible, so he has no problem rotating his head or snapping his own head back if he likes~.
