2 years ago, the last of the stitches holding my broken heart together were cut with a knife.

1 year ago, i had ripped through the stitches so many times that the muscle was too worn out; stitches would break faster than i was able to replace.

today, my heart has had some time to rest and heal. the muscle has grown stronger with each tear. enough to put the first few stitches in. to begin healing.

and that’s enough for now.
