NAME. charlie hanson NICKNAME(S). char , charizard , lottie , charlie . ALIAS(ES). n/a . AGE. twenty two . SPECIES. human / half chinese half scottish . GENDER. transmale . ORIENTATION. Demiromantic pansexual . INTERESTS. sewing , cosplay , video games , writing , cooking , baking , drawing , sign language , teaching children , graphic arts . PROFESSION. fabric store and video game store employee , retail status . BODY TYPE. solid , to say the least . broad shoulders with a straight torso , leading out to feminine hips and athletic legs --- long and powerful . slight fat around the midsection and underarms , but otherwise toned . just rather stocky ; bulky . EYES. almond shaped with a monolid --- the only indication he could be of asian descent . they’re a dark , deep brown , almost with orange undertones that come out auburn in the sun , complete with a dark grey ring lining the outside of the iris . HAIR. bleached past original recognition , though it hasn’t been bleached in awhile . roots show by a good couple inches , undercut and roots proving to be a dark brown ; auburn in the sun . the hair on top of his head is easily long enough to pull into a ponytail on the back of his head , only the blond parts making it into the tie . the ultimate pudding head . SKIN. fair , what used to be tanned from sports now long since faded as he’s never out in the sun long enough to gain a tan . speckled with a few moles here and there , he has fairly clear skin though some parts are rough and calloused . ( like his hands from working with fabric . ) FACE. a heart shape , with high cheekbones clearly defined on either side a small button nose . eyebrows are thick and strangely black ( seeing as though his natural hair color is brown ) and lips are full and feminine , bitten raw in dry weather . HEIGHT. 5′10 . COMPANIONS. n/a . ANTAGONISTS. just the occasional rude customer . DRINKS. coffee usually , lemonade , juice of any kind --- soda , mainly dr. pepper or anything with cherry . ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES? he’s a major lightweight , one sip of anything and he’s out like a light . SMOKES? not even close . DRUGS? had an old friend who taught him about different types of weed , but he won’t actively try it himself . DRIVERS LICENSE? due to parents persistence , charlie had to get his license as soon as possible . took the class when he was fifteen and a half , took the in car driver’s test as soon as he was able , and had his license right as he hit sixteen . ( too bad he was driving in a bad area and totaled his first car . traumatized him and prevented him from driving for a year . )

24. What social groups and activities does your character attend? What role do they like to play? What role do they actually play, usually?

due to how much he works , charlie doesn’t go out a lot , and isn’t invited out a lot either . he excommunicated himself from his high school friends since he found them to be parasites and failed to really make any friends while in college . he’s slowly finding that his friends are now coming from his second job in video games , and has taken on the ‘ wallflower ’ sort of role . charlie’s never one to actively participate in social events due to abuse conditioning thanks to his parents .

37. How is your character’s imagination? Daydreaming a lot? Worried most of the time? Living in memories?

charlie is known to have a pretty creative imagination --- he has a knack to falsify anything he sets his mind to , leading to make people believe anything that comes out of his mouth . with this sort of imagination , he’s slowly turned himself into an easy compulsive liar ... almost to the point it’s difficult to tell when he’s telling the truth . he constantly daydreams about a life away from his toxic and abusive parents , but realistically he knows it’ll take time to be able to get out and away .

38. Are they basically negative when facing new things? Suspicious? Hostile? Scared? Enthusiastic?

like almost anyone , there’s a sense of hesitance when trying new things --- when facing new things . he might deny it the first couple times , ignore that it even exists and pass it on to someone else , but when he has to get down to it , he will . he gets to it in the sense that it has to be done , and if he doesn’t have to deal with it at all ... he won’t . he’ll avoid it at all costs .

3. Brothers, sisters? Who do they like? Why? What do they despise about their siblings?

charlie had two siblings growing up , all the way up until he was about six . at that time , his eldest sister was killed in a car accident , and even though it’s been over a decade , it’s a bit of a sore subject . his older sister constantly makes fun of him for not being able to let go of the past , constantly invalidating his severe ( diagnosed ) clinical depression . he finally gained a brother when his older sister got married , and while his brother in law constantly misgenders him , they’re generally on better terms . due to his sister being out of the house and in her own home , they don’t talk as much , but get along a lot better than they used to --- but charlie has an underlying hatred of his sister and her near - perfect life . he hates how she married her high school sweetheart , they have a house and she has a well - paying job while he has none of that . they do get along for the most part .

25. What are their hobbies and interests?

charlie has a lot of hobbies , there’s really nothing he doesn’t do . from sewing to cosplaying to playing different instruments to video games , etc etc . there’s hardly anything he doesn’t do . he’s gradually learning how to crochet , and since working at a video game store has been immersing himself more into games since he gets a fairly good discount . if he’s not doing any of that , he’s watching cooking shows and trying to teach himself . charlie’s also training to be a sign language interpreter , so he can constantly be found frequenting deaf chats and making friends with the deaf community .

40. How is their sense of humor? Do they have one?

surprisingly enough , charlie has a pretty wild sense of humor . it borders on cynical to sometimes perverse , but he’s usually able to tailor his humor to his audience --- more innocent around the older women at the fabric store , to the more raunchy and wild with everyone at the video game store . with his parents he turns his transgender issues into the brunt of a lot of his jokes and inserts realism to attempt to bring his parents to light , but it never works . either way , he’s almost always capable of bringing a smile to peoples’ faces .

tacking on a little more about charlie : his deadname is charlotte , and his parents and even some friends have kept the name lottie , despite his incessant pushing towards calling him charlie , or even char .

at his two jobs , he is constantly misgendered at one due to it being a woman - dominated workspace : a fabric store . he spends his time cutting fabric and hauling bolts of heavy fabric for the other women , but due to his feminine face is constantly called ‘ ma’am ’ and ‘ miss ’ , but he’s too passive to say anything about it .

his secondary job at a video game store is a lot better , his coworkers are good about his pronouns , and jokingly calls him charizard instead of char . and thanks to his freedom to wear pretty much anything , he can dress more masculine and present a lot better .

CYNIC HERE WITH A BRAND NEW OC --- he’s still heavily under construction , but here’s a rundown : charlie here is a 22 year old college student trying to become a sign language interpreter , attempting to support himself with two minimum wage jobs while still living at home . he’s a transmale living in a transphobic household where his parents constantly deadname and call him by female pronouns and he wants nothing more to escape . oh , and he has the cutest little kitten ( hellion ) named hijikata .
