Dans ma tĂȘte en boucle ces jours ci
Joan CornellĂ
This LP crossed my way today, a nice original French pressing and of course there was this song (plus other favorites, 'Dandy', the hilarious and poisonous 'session man' and 'Sunny afternoon' of course). Then came this existential question, are we sad because we listen to pop music or do we listen to pop music because we are sad (hello Nick Hornby)

Beauty just next to your door
The low-fi mellow soul jazz that reminds you of Ronald langestraat with echo of Marvin Gaye backed by Brian Jackson on this song.
SUBLIME CINEMA #346 - BLACK RAIN
This film has been criticized for being âall atmosphereâ, âa designer movieâ, âall look, no heartâ, cheating the audience out of a plausible, good story and solid characters. But itâs Ridley Scott. The movie is flat out gorgeous, evoking his previous âBlade Runnerâ with a vision of an actual, contemporary Japan that is tantalizingly verging on the unreal. Yes, it has a kind of cheese 80âČs appeal too, and shallow on the story, but itâs worthwhile, with some great cinematography by Jan de Bont.Â
What you can call a killer track
A song crafted by Serge Gainsbourg for the Queen of Paris nights, Régine. First you are caught by the mischievous lyrics and its naughty half hidden meaning but what makes it really poisonous is the melancholy hidden.
Meters' guitarist delivering some groovy soul folk with a touch of Crosby/Nash in the singing. The whole album flows effortlessly.
