By exchanging funded residency with artworks, the project is aiming to unbox the identities inside the mass produced living environment in the transnational era of our time.
Micro Residency is a five pieces ongoing project based in Berlin, programmed by SiOUSiOU. The studio matches various types of space owners with artists and designers. Residency is provided by space owner for the artist to create unique pieces of artworks that reflect and live with the individuals in the space.
▌Zwei : A homeowner is looking to live with your artwork.
From painting, light installation, apply art, sculpture, to general design of the space, we are open for any proposal that fits the owner's brief on discussing Male Identity. However, any other proposal that works with the information provided would also be considered. (Please see Google doc provided)
A 24 qm renovated & unfurnished living room space is looking for a proposal to realise. It is a fully funded residency with a condition that the work is made to last in the space.
We are looking for someone who is resourceful and enjoy the city of Berlin to realise their work, fully funded.
A private view will be hosted at the end of the residency period.
- Up to 30 days free accommodation in Berlin Mitte. ( including at least full 16 working days, details will be discussed)
- All material costs covered.
- Travel expenses partially covered (T&C applies)
- Artist are expected to work in the space, wood and metal workshop could be rented offsite.
