{ Count me in, should we choose to. }
"You do not seem so enthused by my presence here, Angel. Certainly, this city is large enough for me to hunt without intruding upon your lack of ego."
"Surely offense is not taken from my meager words. My only qualm lies in the fact that I have doubts about this city's ability to sate your peculiar appetite."
"... alas, another. This cannot bode well for the city."
"Yeah it is! Your wings are looking great!"
"Aww, well let me know when you do! Nothing goes down like something of yours. Oh! Like you do in the bushes, right? And then out flies the binding!"
"I suppose that's one way of... summarizing my tactics. Though, in some delightful cases, bushes needn't be camped so dutifully."
"…your kind words are appreciated. All I can hope for now is that the meaning of my death was not lost on him…that, somewhere, in his mind, he understood what my intent was."
"Such is likely. While I find the collective of you all to be a horde of muscle-headed buffoons, I do not take your cognitive ability too lightly. We fall to each other many times over, but the meaning is never lost. Death is merely a message to decipher, and yours was not difficult to translate."
"Ah, it is Morgana! Braum is glad to see you. …Or… not glad. Not sure whether city is good or bad yet."
"Greetings. I am unsure of the outcome myself. I do not see this place as terribly wretched yet-- merely inconvenient. However, I will reserve my judgment until a later period in time."
"Morgana!"
"It’s me! I didn’t know you were here! Have you started selling your cakes yet?"
"Ah... yes. Well met, Syndra."
"I have no stone-written intent to open up shop as of yet, but it could be a distinct possibility. It really depends on how comfortable I find myself in the future. For now, I shall... wait."
"It’s hard to ignore someone so intriguing, wouldn’t you say?"
"Undeniably, yet I find myself loathe to approach those with unfamiliar faces with ease such as yours."
"…it was a gamble, and one that has yet to bear fruit. It was a mistake on my part." As ever, he was most frequently a man of very few words.
"Mistakes are commonplace for those who have vocations such as ours. Fruit sprouts from even the driest of branches, if given the time. I certainly wouldn't sell you short."
"... a great deal more of you make yourself known to me all at once? Interesting. Well met."
"I think Noxian Vitamin D-sub-one fucked up or something."
"Perhaps so. It is none of my business in the long run, but I reserve my right to find quiet amusement in their tirades."
"….I am not that peculiar."
"Are you not? You must know that I find all who rush headstrong into bloody decimation as if they sought their demise every second of their life peculiar. You are no different-- notwithstanding, this is not necessarily a bad thing."
"I would not talk, considering your…relationship with your sister."
"My relationship with Kayle is inherently different. Hate was born in our hearts early on, and it is... more vexing when blood is involved."
"A silly feud between peculiar men. How quaint."
"It's miss giant fairy!" Lulu shouted and ran over quickly. Eyes growing wide. "Hey! Hey! Can you share some of your recipes with me?!"
"I'm afraid that my special mixes are... top secret."
Then she was taken.
The Might of Demacia straightened himself as he looked toward her. Her once menacing smile now a demure and curious placement. It put the Captain at semi-ease.
"I was sent by the Institute of War into this plane of existence. To investigate the disappearance and abduction of our Fellow Champions. As you know, we serve a higher purpose upon the fields in that we uphold the peace. It is my sword duty to return the Champions of the League back to Valoran, post haste. My mission, to gather the Champions and leave this accursed place."
She was speechless for a moment, trying to make sense of his words in a timely fashion. He had come to this city after everyone else... willingly? The thought was difficult to process, but rather unsurprising, considering who the sentiment belonged to. The silence stretched a moment long as Morgana gathered her thoughts, making an attempt to let the astonishment drain from her features before speaking.
"As much as I sometimes enjoy the chaos of the battlefield, I do not wish the chaos to storm our home any further because of the disappearances," she replied, carefully entwining her fingers in a thoughtful way. "I had already planned to make my peace with being uprooted, however..."
The ghosts of a smile almost appeared on her lips as she gave him a stiff nod.
"It is a thoughtful and noble mission. Shall you need assistance, you only need ask of it."
The Captain remained unwavering and resolute. His expression unflinching as he watched the other’s shifted expression. The sound of leather gloves tightening kept him occupied while she finished her banter.
"Well enough to be kept in this city. Am I right to assume you know of my mission? Or shall I tell you….?"
His mission to take back all the Champions, that is.
"Your mission...?"
She knew of no such thing-- after all, she had not been within the city's walls for a terribly long time. Her demeanor turned to nothing more than simple curiosity, staring back at him with inquisitive eyes. What could he possibly have up his sleeve.
"Please, do enlighten me."
