"All this ruckus over the life of one human boy? Goodness, you humans waste your energy on such trivial things."
"Hm?"
He leaned down and gently bit down upon her skull, pressing his teeth down slowly to get a bearing of how hard her body was.
"Oh ho! A shell! Very clever. Who are you?"
She giggled as if it tickled when he pressed his teeth against her skull. He was quick to recognize the truth to her form, certainly a much more clever monster than the one's back home. He was much cuter, too. Giving him a slight curtsy, she introduced herself in a pleasant tone.
"Why thank you. You may call me Riful, friend! It would be terribly tiresome to tell you all the specifics on how I came to be the way I am, forgive me."
He takes a curious sniff of this thing - for it almost certainly wasn’t human- before finally acknowledging her words.
"That depends; are you edible?"
"It would certainly be entertaining to see you try and eat me, but it might not be good for your teeth!" Afterall, she didn't want to hurt her new friend right off the bat unless she had to. "Why do you ask? Are you hungry?"
thevoidpredator started following you
"What an adorable little thing you are! Would you like to be my friend?"
Perhaps she didn't give this place enough credit. The creature before them now was massive in size, perhaps even bigger than any monster she had ever encountered. That was certainly saying something considering that Riful herself could tower above trees and stretch across forests.
Fascinating.
Her eyes wandered to see how the citizens were reacting to the news. There was no way they actually stood a chance, right? Yet so many people were charging forward with all their might to take down the beast. It reminded her of the foolish bravery many of the Claymore girls had.
One nearby girl seemed as if she were preparing to do the same. This one didn't smell human. The small girl approached the other with a friendly smile.
"Are you another who plans on taking that monster down?"
"Oh my oh my, something truly fun has arrived!"
"…Rrr…"
He didn’t bother responding to her, staying quiet on the ground, but his tail did start to wag a bit…
"Good boy."
Riful let out childish giggles as she scratched behind his ear. Animals were so well behaved.
No. Failure to launch. He wasn’t moving from this spot and it would take the forces of heaven and hell to make him move.
"Oooooh, what kind of creature are you?" And so she just walks up and pets his fur without a care in the world. So soft. So fluffy.

"… a great deal more of you make yourself known to me all at once? Interesting. Well met."
"It's hard to ignore someone so intriguing, wouldn't you say?"
"Friendship is so wonderful. I hope I'll be able to make friends here too!"
"…I’ve got a lot of names. The Blacklight Virus, Subject ZEUS, Alex Mercer…but you can just call me Mercer. It’s the easiest one to remember for most, and I’ve heard it screamed the most so it just feels right." He didn’t know why it was easy to talk with this woman. Maybe it was because he felt like she understood, like she could understand his hatred for anything and everything human…but maybe it was just because she wasn’t yelling or causing a god damned commotion like most of the other people he’d met in this city.
"Mercer, is it? In all my years I'm not quite sure I've heard such a name..." Well it wasn't surprising, all things considered. ".. but it's a pleasure to meet you nonetheless." Riful gave a friendly smile and a curtsy, being outstandingly polite even given the fact they were surrounded by a pile of corpses in a shady area. She seemed genuinely pleased. It also helped that she was not on an empty stomach.
Lost Sheep (Intro/Open)
For the first time in forever, Shen felt a really strong pain in his head from a headbutt. Normally his thick skull saved him from most of the recoil but this girl was super hard. Not only that but she was laughing it off too.
Just what is this girl He wondered to himself.
However the thought was fleeting at best as he focused back on the fight. Ignoring her mocking words as he let go of her hand, holding his fists together as he raised them high and sent them flying down against her head, he might as well start pummeling with all his might if he’s to win this fight.
The people around them had already started to run away from the scenery, no one wanted to be around two people fighting especially not when it was reaching this level of magnitude.
Riful was well known for playing mind games with her opponent. Rarely did she ever take a fight seriously. To her, this was nothing more than a form of entertainment. Her playful grin never left her face as she gracefully twirled to the side at a speed barely visible to the human eye, intentionally only dodging his strike by a hair. A childish giggle escaped her as she was having far too much fun.
"Oops! Just missed me! You're going to have to try harder than that."
"…whatever, guess that’s fair. It isn’t like I’ve got much place to judge someone on letting go of humanity." Given the chance, he would have wiped humanity off the face of the planet a long time ago…but…well, he’d gotten a bit ahead of himself, almost ended up getting the tables turned on him. Thankfully, he was a bit smarter than some infected jarhead with a grudge.
"…you got a name?"
"You can call me Riful! May I have the pleasure of knowing your name as well?"
Her kindness was certainly odd, but it was genuine. The sight of the two conversing was an interesting one indeed. Just about everything regarding their appearance and manner of speech were polar opposites. Riful had taken an interest in him, though. She was especially surprised in his change of attitude. She wasn't having to force conversation with him.
"How about some quid pro quo, lady…what’s your deal? I ain’t human, so me feeding on these stupid fucks isn’t exactly immoral for me, but for most people cannibalism is pretty frowned on. So what’s your story?" At this point, he was just trying to come out of the exchange on some kind of equal footing. He wasn’t okay with people knowing more about him than he knew about them. It was still a sore point for the former-amnesiac.
"Oh, I left my humanity a long time ago." Another childish giggle escaped her. "I would do you the honor of showing my true form, but unfortunately they have limited me to this shell. The story of how I became this way is centuries old and far too tiring to tell. Just know that much like humans get their nutrition from food and water, creatures like myself get their nutrients from human guts and flesh." She didn't mind freely giving out information at all, Riful had nothing to hide.
