I just......I cannot with people right fucking now. I can't.
I started seeing a new psychiatrist yesterday, and he was so Republican I nearly had an anxiety attack. Not because he's Republican. It's just 90% of the most horrible events of my life happen to concern conservative Republicans. The dude screams ex-military, has pictures of Civil War generals and 40s era starlets hanging everywhere with oldies playing in the background. Not that there's anything wrong with oldies, but all of that combined felt like a bit much.
The entire time I was sitting there like, "What era are you living in, dude?"
As soon as he saw the word testosterone on my file, he started asking me all these questions about my transition and shit. He asked what I thought about teenagers having access to hormones and blockers. I told him it should be up to the kid and their family. Then he asked me when I knew I was trans and I just kinda froze because how do you explain to a cishet dude that you suppressed your transness as a teenager, so your parents wouldn't throw you out or beat the shit out of you????
Then I shared a post about avoiding the book "Witch", which is super TERFy and preaches that basically only women can do witchcraft. I posted it in a Lokean group, and someone actually asked me why they shouldn't read the book. And it's like what part of ALL-INCLUSIVE do you not understand???? And Loki is genderfuckingfluid -- argue all you want but Loki Laufeyjarson has been transgender since the 9th fucking century. It's pretty much set in stone.
Just fucking hell, y'all. Smh.
