I went to the coolest little bookshop yesterday in Sedona, AZ. There aren’t too many Independent bookstores where I live so I was happy when we came across this little shop! It also has the cutest name: The Literate Lizard. I picked out a couple books that I’ll be excited to read in the new year 😊
Today is my last day at one of my jobs. As much as I won’t miss shelving the books, I will miss seeing all of these books 5 days a week.
Over the weekend I finished Tell Me Three Things. I think it was just the perfect book to get me out of this perpetual reading slump I’ve been going through. It was such a nice, quick read!
I finally watched Love, Simon! It was SO good. After watching it, I wanted to read something kind of similar. That’s when I remembered I had this gem on my TBR shelf. I’m really enjoying it so far! Going to spend the time before work reading it while Christmas movies play in the background.
Wishing I could sit here all day with this guy, drinking coffee and reading a book all while watching the snow fall. Alas, those library books aren’t going to shelve themselves.

I am trying to sort out what my next read will be. I finished Sadie and it was pretty good! It’s the first book I’ve been able to finish in well over a month. However, this time around, I’m looking for something a little more lighthearted. If you have any suggestions, feel free to leave them!

This weekend - starting tonight when I get home from work - I am going to be doing some serious reading. My plan is that by the time I have to go to work Monday evening, I will be finished reading Sadie! I’m halfway through, so maybe I can even finish by Sunday night 😊
It’s been awhile since I’ve posted a picture of this guy. The main reason is because he is the most difficult pup to get a shot of. But he is, quite frankly, too cute not to share!
Okay, I know Halloween isn’t until next week, but Christmas is only two months away! This year I think I’m even more excited than usual (which seems impossible) because it’s this guy’s first Christmas 😊 Alright, now back to carving pumpkins and watching Halloweentown for the millionth time.
Hoping to read as much of this as possible this weekend! I desperately need a good reading weekend. After work, I need to finish up a little bit of homework, and then it’s just me and this book. And two dogs. And a hot cup of coffee.

For the last couple of years I’ve wanted to read Frankenstein during October, but I never seem to get around to it. So this year, I decided to borrow an audio version through my library so I can listen to it on my commute. Hopefully this year I can finish it!
Happy Monday! I’m still reading Sadie by Courtney Summers. I was hoping to get more reading time in yesterday, but other things had to come first. And today I have a paper to write. So no reading for this girl today either. At least until tonight, that’s if I can finish my paper before work! Hope everyone has a great day ☺️
How I’m spending my morning before work 😊 this book came into the library this past week, and when I popped open the front cover and read what it was about, I knew I had to read it! Each alternating chapter is told through the main character’s perspective and through podcast transcripts. I’ve never read anything like it, and it’s pretty interesting so far.
