I could never have imagined picking up a crochet hook so many years ago would have led to this. There is now an article about me and my amigurumi in my local paper magazine, Swerve Calgary, http://calgaryherald.com/life/swerve/our-town-crochet-your-favourite-pokemon-characters. I feel proud that this silly hobby has gotten me this far and that my amigurumi has reached people all over the world makes me real happy.

What an "Auspicious Find!" This art sculpture located in Prince's Island in Calgary has now been marked on each side with the Pokémon Go team insignias: Instinct, Mystic, and Valor. Psst, I hear you can catch the rare Freeze Pokémon, Articuno somewhere near the sculpture.

Who's that Pokémon?! The wings were a bit of a pain to figure out but I think I'm happy with how they look after much trial and error.

Hey! I've never really introduced myself and I just wanted to say hello to my followers, long-time and new! My name is Phillip and I have been crocheting amigurumi for about 4 years now. I was originally a knitter and I return to it every once in while but crochet allows me to combine my love of video games and needlework. By day I am a high school math teacher and that keeps me pretty busy throughout the year but I enjoy it a lot.
