"Well," my best friend asked me, "what do you think?"
It was difficult to look at the woman I'd had a crush on for literally years dressed in lingerie like this, difficult to refrain from saying what I really thought, that she looked amazing and I wanted her so badly. But I pushed that thought from my brain.
"Well?" she asked, obviously wondering if asking my opinion of her lingerie was too much.
"I...I like the say the accent plays off the sheer fabric, it really highlights your curved," I said, trying to give the most non-sexual comment I could.
"You think?" she asked, smiling. "I was worried the sheer fabric was too close in color to my skin."
"I...I see that," I said, "but I think it works."
"Are the heels too much?"
"No, I think they're a good choice, they give a nice shape to your legs, men...men appreciate that even if they don't know why."
"I just want to look special for him tonight," she said.
"You made the right choice," I said.
A smile spread across her face. "I'm so glad I have you," she said, "every girl should have a gay bestie."
"I know, I know...seriously, how long are you going to do the whole, I'm not gay thing?"
"Whatever," she said, "seriously, the blue dress?"
"It will show off your legs," I said, "so yea, that or that pink dress you have. I like the blue one better, it brings out your eyes."
She giggled. "Says Miss I'm not gay..."
"You still fantasize about it?"
"Sleeping with me? With any woman, really?"

"You still picking out one guy each day to fantasize about?" It was her game with me.
"We're totally getting you a boyfriend by Christmas," she said, "I promise."
