Star Formation in Cygnus X

A bubbling cauldron of star birth is highlighted in this new image from NASA’s Spitzer Space Telescope. Infrared light that we can’t see with our eyes has been color-coded, such that the shortest wavelengths are shown in blue and the longest in red. The middle wavelength range is green.

Massive stars have blown bubbles, or cavities, in the dust and gas — a violent process that triggers both the death and birth of stars. The brightest, yellow-white regions are warm centers of star formation. The green shows tendrils of dust, and red indicates other types of dust that may be cooler, in addition to ionized gas from nearby massive stars. Cygnus X is about 4,500 light-years away in the constellation Cygnus, or the Swan.

Is there a list for active Green Lantern rpers anywhere? Or could you recommend some?

You can occasionally find lists for them on RP resource pages. I’ve reblogged a few posts to be listed on myself, though many have never been truly updated.

Most Green Lantern RPers that I have interacted with don’t use the ‘dc rp’ or ‘green lantern rp’ tag, making it a bit more difficult to locate them if searching for them. I suppose we’re a small enough community in the roleplaying side of Tumblr that we’ve just never utilized them much. But, in case there are some RPers using those tags who I am unaware of, I’m going to tag this ask with ‘dc rp’ and ‘green lantern rp’.

At the moment, the Lantern RP community is pretty sparse, consisting of just a handful of active players.

If you look HERE you will find a list of all the Green Lantern RP accounts that I am currently aware of. Take in mind that I am human, though, and can easily overlook things or simply not be aware of their existence. If you are an active Green Lantern RP account and are not featured on the list, simply send me a polite ask to be added to it.
