I tell people often, “You don’t really know who your true friends are until y’all have been through some shit together.”

That is especially true in this social media age where you’re put in contact with so many people with similar interests or backgrounds that you seem to connect with, that will call you family, etc…. then one small thing happens and you find out the type of person they truly are, or you find out they have been talking behind your back the whole time.
