He was the first to bring the role to the big screen and appeared in seven of the spy thrillers.

RIP.

I’ve been rewatching all the Bond films in order recently as a lockdown project and his films are very much of their time but at the same time have a timeless quality to them.

I also really enjoyed his role in Entrapment. Thought he was spectacular in it.
