Heading into the next round of King of the Ring, SmackDown's Elias, the guitar-toting WWE superstar, is looking to take that next step.
Really interesting interview that touches on the current direction of his character, being in the King of the Ring tournament, and his favorite Eric Clapton song.
@WWE: EXCLUSIVE: @IAmEliasWWE is heated after @AliWWEās attacks on his guitar arm, and he has words for those characterizing him as @ShaneMcMahonās lackey. #SDLive
Nothing but respect for my king
Look at Elisaās Instagram pop it and lock it
Some pictures of Elias I havenāt finished and donāt think I will so here that are
One thing I take pride in is my ability to control my legs. Now, I feel I am capable of making my striking look like I annihilate my opponents, but because of my control I actually barely touch them, as is pretty much displayed in this slow motion. Compare this to a strike landing in slow motion in any MMA orientated sport and I am sure they look identical to an extent. Most people that wouldnāt know this is Pro Wrestling would think this is an actual KO. Drifterās eyes going blank and limbs failing makes for, what is in my opinion, a perfect and believable finish.
So much of this has been trial and error, it took years upon years to being able to hit my opponents this way. Something I donāt with this younger generation, everything is a quick fix for a mediocre pay off. āBut the crowd reacts!ā But imagine the reaction if all of it looked tight.
Also, for myself as a wrestler trying to perfect technique, rather than a quick fix, was all I cared about. You need personal goals as a wrestler/performer.
I have written books in regards to my characters, my style, techniques, combinations, moves, facial expressions, selling, verbiage, using my voice and I still do after 18 years.
As a wrestler that wants to stand out and be unique, this is a must.
I personally feel that after 18 years I can say things like this especially with what I have done and where I am and where I will be going.
Also, I think I am going to start writing here more about my ideas behind Pro Wrestling.

Friendship bracelets
Sometimes the best stories aren't told with words. Sometimes they're told with just four little steps.
Too many things happened at WrestleMania that I was excited about so I drew lots of stuff
Maybe i stopped watching raw a little too soon. I canāt believe i missed undertaker literally beating up his own son.
Elias sits down with the crew from MLB Central for, quite possibly, the best morning show interview he's ever done. Just click the link and enjoy!
