Finals Finale

Excuse the not-so-witty title, eheh.

After the REED exam, Claudia, Yuki, Jejelou and I went straight to Starbucks.

It was mah first time in Claudia’s car *tears of joy*

And it was Claudia’s treat today.. (shh, don’t tell anyone)

We spent approximately 3 or more hours there… and result!

Doodling on cups because.. well, we can.

So long!

Finally! School starts tomorrow, and I am so excited and nervous at the same time. Excited because I'm gonna be busy, thinking and learning again. Nervous, because new people and new professors to deal with.

Anyway, since summer is done, so is this blog. It was so nice to share the most remarkable events in my life in here. Although I might add one more entry, Jenine's debut. But after that, I move on to another blog I might update once in a while when I find the time to blog.

I should be sleeping by now, even if my class starts at 10AM ;)

Back to the Basics

I haven't read a book for a month! Six more days until the start of classes, and I haven't prepared myself for it. I've been distracted with TVD and makeup and tumblr.

By the way, eyeliner is so irritating I am never touching it again. My precious eyesight is at stake! And maybe avoid too much screen time (read: laptop screen, tv screen) because that certainly affects my vision too!

I should really read more often now! I have to stop with this new obsession because it's bad news for my brain.

I've been putting it off for a while, it's time to get back on track.

I need yoga back in my life. I am not at peace right now.

(052913) Fearless Impulsion

I got my curls back, and it's astounding how similar it is with my original hair two years ago. Too bad I don't have a decent photo of myself back then because I had the lowest self-esteem.

I had my hair permed at BeautyBrick which is well known for the quality of service and ambiance. Mr. Shin never disappoints! I got what I wanted: carefree hair that has a mind of its own. (1st photo) Hahaha!

After that, I asked my mom if we could pass by LandMark because I was planning to buy some basic makeup for the upcoming debut party of my HS classmate and also as an investment to start practicing the makeup skillz lol

So my mother insisted on staying loyal to Maybelline because I've been using their press powder for a while now and I don't seem to have breakouts. What a lame move, because I really regret buying their foundation seen above. (2nd photo)I don't know if it's the texture or maybe it's because the lady suggested the wrong shade for my skin tone. I swear it's so white-ish, I look like a ghost. (3rd photo) Damn! I also bought a concealer and a gel liner from them. Even gave me a freakin' loyalty card because of my purchase. Aaargh! I spent my 1K for that sht. I should've researched before buying anything!

Next time, I'll try the Revlon ColorStay because I researched and found out it's light on the skin and has a version for oily/combination skin. Or not, because foundation is just too heavy. I might opt for a BB cream or something.

Makeup is so frustrating I don't even like it that much at all.

The Vampire Diaries

So one day I was bored so I started watching The Vampire Diaries.

Right now I am compelled (inside joke intended for TVD fans), because it has been awesome.

After watching The Rules of Attraction, though, I just can't see myself finding Damon Salvatore hot. Don't judge me you little fangirl, try watching it yourself! See if you can unsee Ian Somehalder there.

I like a good mystery. I can't watch Pretty Little Liars right now because I'm still downloading Season 4. I miss Spoby and Haleb.

I'm team Switzerland. No team Stefan or team Damon. Not yet, anyway.

(05/11-13/13) The Mother's Day Getaway

Since the election day was a Monday, my mom considered it as a long weekend. We went on a roadtrip to Zambales and Olongapo (Subic). It was a fun family bonding. The close encounter with Richard Parker was cool. The Zoobic Night Safari is overrated, it's not even that nice. And the rates are so expensive, but I guess that's okay because they're taking care of the animals. By the way, around that area you can easily get lost, even in broad daylight. We were the last family to leave that place at night, which was extra creepy because even the crew left before us.

And I am so tan.

I didn't do anything special for Mother's Day, because we were away.We actually ate at KFC that day because who doesn't like KFC? We just splurged on other things... like chocolate.

Meh.

I shall narrate the day in full detail because I feel like it

I went to the university today to claim my COR. When I left the house the sun was shining down rays of potential skin cancer; but while traveling through the highway it started raining. What's entertaining is once we passed a certain area, suddenly, the surroundings were dry. But then we passed another area and it started raining in a badass kind of way.

Since I arrived during lunchtime, I had to wait for an hour before the counters open again. Some freshman with her mother asked me for directions to the Animo Shop. I gave it to them, in my trying-my-best-not-to-choke way of speaking. I'm no good with verbal stuff >.< Fortunately they understood, yay! I remembered my own enrollment day, with my mom and stuff.

My shoes and pants were wet. I didn't pay my tuition yet, but I had it assessed. Whoop, almost a 10k balance from last term's payments!

I should really try harder this term, I need that discount.

On the way home, I bought myself some wheat bread and peanut butter with the excess allowance my mother gave me, which is only a hundred. Daaaamn, peanut butter is so expensive! The wheat bread was even cheaper. (-.-")_/

At home, my mother told me to clean our room. After that I did a bit of yoga and some workout I got off the internet. So right now, I'm glistening with sweat. And I swear I look so much better, covered with sweat and all. XD

My head is so much clearer, I think working your butt off does that to you.

Decent update

My orthodontist told me I only have three months left with my braces. Was I excited, she asked. I tried to smile as a sign of affirmation while she stretched my mouth to the left like I had a mouth of the Cheshire Cat.

I can't eat anything properly, because I have an open bite courtesy of that cement she put on my molars since I kept biting on my new brackets attached to my last two molars. It's really hard to imagine, I know. But she's really nice and told me that she doesn't want me to suffer this misery for more than a month. :]

The truth about chocolate? It doesn't always make you feel better.

Sometimes, it can make you feel worse, by making you regret eating it, and making you feel that weird with that taste in your saliva after eating such.

But hey, it's one of the pointless pleasures in life right?

I also read somewhere that it can cause depression. But what am I supposed to do with all of these? I'm probably gonna feed it to my cousins and friends who'll visit me.

Okay, I'm here to blow off some steam.

Sometimes I hate my countrymen. Why? Because they can be so stupid. So very stupid.

If they are not ignorant, they are shallow and mean. It's pissing me off. I can go on about this but I'm not gonna go there because it's a waste of energy.

Bahala kayo dyan, kayo rin naman ang dahilan kung bakit lugmok ang Pilipinas. Mahirap at nasa baba na nga yung iba, yung mga nasa gitna lalo pang hinahamak imbis na tulungan, yung mga nasa itaas naman, hala sige sa pag-aabuso ng kapangyarihan at yaman imbis na gamitin sa kabutihan at kaunlaran.

It's exhausting to care sometimes.

Late post about the outing with my high school buddies. It was early in the morning (7AM!!!), as I dragged my butt to the outside world. We waited at Jollibee for about an hour or so because our dear President, the one who organized the whole thing, was the last one to arrive. How ironic.

Anyway, it was a good trip to our destination since the we occupied the entire jeep and the driver agreed to take us straight to the resort. We technically rented that jeep with 300 pesos.

The pool was really shallow, not a soul can drown. Except for kids, of course, but do they even have souls? Loljk.

So we tried to enjoy ourselves by playing cards while the sun was on its peak. On the pool we played the silliest games we could make up. Couples among us were everywhere (meaning wherever you swing your eyes ugh) and my eyes hurt hahaha! I hope no one reads this but one even made "da moves" on me (shitshitshit don't read this) huhuhuhu I am not assuming or anything but that's what I call it and that's all I'm about to give out.

We went home around 5PM. Most of us were having clogged noses on the bus ride, mine started two hours after that.

I laughed a lot that day, far from what I expected. They are too cool to handle that's all I thought while I was walking home. I'm quite proud to have them as the people I spent my high school life with. Miserable as it was.

Reading tragedies

My reading pattern is not healthy at all. I've been reading way too many tragedies. Tess of the D'Urbervilles is like The Scarlet Letter all over again. Not that I'm complaining, because Hardy obviously intended on making the novel in line with the reality of rape way back when he wrote this piece.

Also, I'm still not coming around to finishing The Last Summer (of you and me) because it is such a drag. Ho-hum. And before that, The Secret Life of Bees was depressing, too. This is pure coincidence but still....

Maybe I should take a break from this genre (or whatever you call it) of classics? Or maybe I just need new and happy books. *flies away to the nearest bookstore with no cash at hand*
